    Not to my knowledge.

I still think you'll probably be looking at both Friend and McCullough playing in the medium term anyway; neither of them will be stuck straight in as an 80 minute hooker IMO and by the time Smith goes either Thurston or Cronk will probably be gone too, so DCE will be starting.

Lawrence would have to have one of the highest mpr's of all props in the game. Averaging 9.35m over the course of a season is just incredible.

I hope McQueen isn't picked again. He was solid, but not very impressive, and we'd benefit from a stronger runner there, especially since Thurston doesn't seem to want to pass to Inglis anymore.

You'll be stuck with him for a while IMO.

With Harrison's career effectively over, we need Shillo to snap the fuck out of it and start being a gun again so Myles can move back to lock.

Parker's played well in the second row for Queensland in the past but I still don't think it's really a good idea to play him there, especially since he'd be on the same side as Inglis anyway. Parker's primarily a yardage man and I don't think what you need on the left is someone making territory on the fringes. you need that on the right so you can spin it back to the left on the back of it and run your line-breaking left side options at a retreating defence.

As a NSW fan I'd fear Queensland's left edge the most if Harrison (distributing to Inglis) or Gavin C00000per (running excellent lines and attracting defenders away from Inglis) were selected. But as I said I think you'll be stuck with McQueen for a while. It's the downside of your loyal selection policy, which largely works but can throw up things like McQueen if you get it wrong originally.

I don't really like Parker on the edges. I mean sure, he did produce two offloads that led to tries in 2012, but they were fairly fluke-ish, he pretty much blew the play until he managed to get the ball away (which is why they worked I guess). He's a fantastic lock, but without the same amount of luck he'd probably blow more plays Josh Hoffman style out there on the edges IMO.

Ideally I'd love to have Harrison back but the chances of him getting picked again are slim to none. So I would agree with this if Parker didn't have the offload. But he does. And it's a huge weapon. It's better than anything Cooper offers, and as you know, I'm also a big fan of Cooper. I think pairing him with Thurston on the left would be great. But I'd prefer Parker tbh.

In the one game he played there, we scored two tries from his offloads. And although I agree we don't really need a yardage man on the left he was just a tower a strength charging forward for us. It's too hard to pass over.

  10. Magic AJ Parker

    Friend and Segeyaro imo

Yeah that would absolutely be my pick too and I've said so before, but:

    1. We're not even sure if Segeyaro wants to play for Queensland yet.. although he probably does.
    2. I don't think Mal will go that way. Fortunately. :p

Nah that's not what happened. Inglis is the one who blew it by not throwing the cut-out. He made that mistake on several occasions throughout the night when we had the overlap. Parker did exactly the right thing and what you want in that situation from your fringe forward. He ran a line across the grain to hold up Morris and draw him in. And it worked a treat. Inglis just didn't have the vision to get it to Nielsen. In this situation, you don't throw a short ball to a forward to hands it on. You get it to your finishers as quickly as possible.

In fact, Inglis blew more tries that night than Dugan did in his last game. At least 2 and one was touch and go.

Winger and centre standing way to deep there for a good cut out.

If Brenton Lawrence ever plays Origin he will absolutely shit the bed, Jason King style.

I'm honestly not sure if you're serious. Nielsen could've perhaps been a yard quicker (in line with Boyd) but they'd both be hitting it at pace in 15m of open pasture. How are they not in position to take a cut-out and score there?
