Dobson & Carney in the halves. Get around it.

Surely Maloney and Pearce can't play Origin again.

    Surely.

NSW to push for English players to be eligible. Team Burgess

  4. Wilson SB Wilson

Well Carney wasn't picked because of his goal kicking, yet he's missed one kick all year and Maloney has kicked like a mutt all series. Get that round your head.

    QLD 2014

    1. Slater (though I'd seriously start to consider moving Inglis there)
    2. Boyd
    3. Inglis
    4. Hodges
    5. Tate
    6. Thurston
    7. Cronk
    8. Scott
    9. Smith
    10. Myles
    11. McQueen (fuck it, I thought he did well enough to stay there)
    12. Thaiday (though he can barely handle 30 minutes)
    13. Parker

    14. DCE
    15. Shillington/Hannant
    16. Papalli
    17. Gillett/Te'o/whoever

With 2 home games, I reckon we'll win.

  7. morgieb MC Burridge

Queensland won this time despite going full retard with their forward pack and playing two games in NSW (though our home advantage is less great than yours IMO). Can't really see them not winning.

Less Roosters halves, Pearce is such a lemon of a half back.

  10. Jazz NC Smith

Price and Webb look eerily similar in that picture.

I sort of do want to move Inglis because I think he's the better fullback than Slater but then I also don't because he's the most destructive centre in Origin history, within the most destructive left side flank in Origin history. I thought we failed to utilise it last year; we absolutely fucking butchered it this year, except for few and far between moments in Origin II. I don't blame McQueen at all. He obviously had a different role and he did it fairly well.

I blame Thurston mainly. And Meninga secondarily. This shit about moving him in-field when he's actually playing centre, is garbage. Either put him at fullback or leave him the fuck alone. Don't fill his head with this shit about going in-field. As I said in a previous phone book length post, NSW did contribute to it by telling their wingers to rush in. JT adjusted perfectly in Game II by using him as a decoy. They didn't really do it in Game III yet Thurston failed to deliver to GI like he should've.

A contributing factor (Inglis got injured in the second half) is the fact that GI could be out for up to 8 weeks with a PCL injury.

Seriously, if Pearce gets picked next year, I'm jst not even going to watch, or read anything about SOO.

If NSW use that as a framework they should be very competitive next year. Those should be as good as automatic picks IMO.

For QLD I'd be looking at:

    1.Slater
    2.Boyd
    3.Inglis
    4.Hodges
    5.Tate
    6.Thurston
    7.Cronk
    8.Scott
    9.Smith (c)
    10.Myles
    11.
    12.
    13.Parker

    14.Cherry-Evans
    15.Shilington
    16.Hannant
    17.Papalii

Papalii made over 10m per run last night. Cunt is a freight train and that was through the middle. Imagine what he'd do on a fringe running at NSW's halves. I thought McQueen was solid this year but I wouldn't ink him in. I still think Harrison when fully fit is a much better player. And Thaiday though a walk-up, aside from his opening 20 in Game 2 was pretty fucking pus again this year. If I were in charge I would seriously consider putting Papalii into the starting side. Thaiday would be much more of a weapon from the bench too. Cunt looks out on his feet so quickly.

Reckon Cherry-Evans could have a crack at starting over Cronk if they both keep their form up

Are you kidding? Cronk was fantastic last night, and he won the series the year before. Cronk will start if he's available.

His kicking game has been off all series, aside from that though, I thought he was great last night.

    Sooo....you're finally coming round.

Do we move Slater to the wing......I think he'd go great out there.
