The Brad Fittler medal for NSW's best and fairest in 2014 has been split between Jarryd Hayne and Ryan Hoffman. Given that Gallen wasn't eligible I think it's a bit of a joke that Hayne and Hoffman polled the same number of votes from players and staff. As well as Hoffman played this year, which would've been a pleasant surprise for Blues supporters, you really can't go past Hayne IMO. I mean he was well-contained after Game I but he still played really well in the remaining two matches. And his Game I effort was as good as I've seen from any fullback in Origin for quite some time.

It is nice to see a forward getting some credit in the individual player awards for a change but I think they're mistaken on this occasion.

Happy for it to be split, both had great campaigns.

Saw a number of people blowing up about it going to them over Gallen AND BEAU SCOTT, which will just about do me

    Hoffman was great.

    Hayne was better.

Reckon there'll be a big push for Soward to come back into the fold if he continues his form into early next year. He's definitely better than Reynolds, that's for sure but NSW love a club connection.

    Soward and Wal. Easy done.

Just had one of those sickie burps thinking about that.

    Would be better than Pearce/Maloney.

Pearce just shits the bed in origin, and Maloney is very average.
