    Why is it a ridiculous idea? It would help bridge the gap in quality and would also nullify a lot of the random selections by having a better and more logical progression from club to rep. Can't tell me watching that wouldn't have been infinitely better than the tedium that was club football during the Origin period.

    Chuck in a few one of tests between pacific nations as well. Tonga and Samoa are always at each other. Or even NZ Vs Pacific Nations side, even if it's just one game.

    Just replace the other two residents games with what you said: PNG vs NZ or some shit. NZ vs Pacific Islands. OR you could always just air the Toyota Cup games...
