Thinking about it further, I still think Marshall is shit, but given the quality of some of the other line-ups in this (Phlegm), Marshall has probably found his level in this tournament and is liable to excel.
What does less teams have to do with anything when the wickets are so ridiculous. And Khan's stats are crazy too. If you damn one for being a first class hero, you have to damn the other. 15/17/17 for Khan versus 11/11/8 for Miller. Though I see Miller is averaging 142 with the ball this season (1 game sample) despite Tamar Lambert (FC average 24+) taking 4 in the same game.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a little skeptical about Miller too (why I didn't take the punt, which looks like biting me on the arse), I was trying to see it from Athlai's perspective.
Isn't the case for Miller he averages ridiculously less then everyone else in his comp. I'm sure there would be a few who have averaged high teens in Pakistan.
Haha yeah Miller's current season is brilliant. If it continues then he effectively stops being a domestic hero and is just another average WI spinner.
Benny Best Pick: Mohammad Amir - this could have gone to any of his last three picks. Benny managing to make some pretty quality selections after selling his soul for Amir. Wost Pick: Gary Ballance - both Ballance and Vilas went too soon. But Ballance was a fairly terrible round 4 pick, quite a few better options were available. Balance? Anything but. Hunter Best Pick: Andre Adams - arguably your best bowler and came in round 7. Pretty solid effort. And he's a cunt which no doubt was a part of the appeal. Wost Pick: Niall O'Brien - both O'Brien and Senana went too soon. Both definitely deserved to get picked up but you got a teensy bit too keen when better players were available. Overall Squad Depth: B A pretty solid team overall, and a great effort considering how many of these picks you made over your phone while on holiday. Yeah, will cop the depth issue but I think it's better than it looks. Perera, Pandey, Woody and Marmadools will all be good enough cover so it's only really light at the top of the order and for the wicket keeper but if an opener goes down we'll probably see a reshuffle rather than Vihari coming in. Seekkuge a fair pick for worst when what I wanted was a spinner to bat at 8 and both Jeets and Marmad00ls went about 14 rounds later.
There were just way too many of them selected. For a country that has about the sixth best Test team in the world in a First Class competition played exclusively in one city between club teams over three-day matches, everyone seemed to flock to them for some reason. There are definitely some good Sri Lankans out there, even ones that hadn't played Tests, just not as many as people seemed to think.
