Ellis averages significantly less with both bat and ball, in NZ domestics ffs. I know Athers is trolling but its still funny.
Ellis averages 50 with the bat since 2010 compared to 40 for Hall and has only few more runs on his bowling average. NZ domestic and English tier 2 aren't really worlds apart either.
They're miles apart. Also, iirc Hall averages a bit more with that with the bat, and averages like 25 with the ball.
Ellis has been a lot better than his career numbers recently though, and Hall had that weird stint in Zimbabwe where he bowled complete pies. Hall is definitely better than Ellis but I think they should've been taken closer together.
