Should Jobe lose his Brownlow

If he wasn't on it and the rest of them team was, I'd probably still void it.

This has to be settled before the finals, you can't have Essendon ruining the competition. If they make it and then have players made ineligible it just runs the integrity of the whole finals series.

Yep fair point, can't argue with that.

That said he & fletch probably have the most influence at the club so if they weren't on them you've got to wonder how the others didn't follow the lead. Makes no sense.

Well I think it'd be harsh because it looks almost as though they weren't at fault really (although WADA policy says they take some responsibility). If my club doc said "take this, it's all good and will make you better" I would take his word for it. It'd be harsh to take away an award he clearly worked hard for. Obviously he had an unfair advantage and it should be stripped, but it wasn't his fault so it'd be harsh imo.

    Harsh but fair.

Exactly what I meant @ Mousey.

Would they give retrospective medals, or have a 'No Winner' a la Melbourne Storm and their premierships?

  8. Mousey AJ Son

You've definitely got to have retrospective winners imo. It's not like the Storm where Parramatta would have gotten it when they didn't have to play the Broncos or whoever would have gotten through if the Storm weren't involved. 2nd is a legit 2nd.

If he was unaware what he was taking though, It should be the club at fault not him.

If he did indeed take it though, even unawares, he still had a leg up over the comp.

In the paper it said he has a chance of still keeping it if he is found guilty of taking the substances.

    Ignorance is no excuse

It would be unfortunate for him if he did lose it... seems a great bloke, can't see him taking the peptides...

Yeah exactly. He still had an unfair and illegal advantage. I don't think he should be banned or anything like that if he was completely unaware, but the substances might have actually been the reason he won the Brownlow, in theory, so he can't keep it IMO.

He should be stripped of it if he was under the influence of PEDs...

So if you kill someone without meaning to, you shouldn't go to prison?

  17. El Nino J Torres

That is just the worst comparison I've ever heard.

    Nice Cevnoing.
