    That's not what it's for though really. Have no problem with Dawson playing as he's first reserve batsman, Blunder and Nova were fine too, but Witters and Winney were a bridge too far.

    Gunna say this is definite realism testing players performing well in Second grade the previous season who are a chance to be called into the squad during the season in case of injury, I'm not sure what sports you've been watching but every sport I watch use the preseason in this way.

    Witters did not perform well in second grade.

    Regardless of which, that wasn't the point. If the Care Cup was designed for you to trial players for the whole season then any CoS could rightly say "well X is really active so I think he'll be gun by season's end even though he has been shit so far/never played a game". That's why it's set up as a trial for the first couple of rounds - to prevent players being selected on activity rather than merit.

    Nah im not using that logic though and using that logic would be silly as they will be gun then not now so I wouldn't want to ruin the player by throwing them in the deep end so early.I'm playing them on past performances.
