Yeah. Kicks from open play excluding grubbers. The only negative is that it'll make droppies even less likely as they come up under the KIOP section. That's something I'll probably have to change.
RUSim version 4 is ready for testing. So, once the final Test versus Ireland is out of the way, I'll move straight onto the Pre-Season tournament.
Thanks to Hurricane and Quaggas, there will also now be shown a score out of 10 rating for each player. This is based on a statistical analysis of SCP scores by position - i.e. wingers tend to score lower, and thus they'll get a higher out of 10 score than a, say, Lock who tend to score larger on SCP. This will provide a more accurate representation of who was really the MOTM/COTM. The scores are based on a pseudo normal distribution, so most players will score between 4 and 8. However, there will still be reasonable numbers of players scoring 0-3 and 9-10. It will be much, much more common to score less than 6 than previously. These scores will also be used to determine your form outcome from the match.
Sounds good Heef. I like the fact that there will actually be some low scores. Far to often when people rate players out of 10 5 is considered a bad score, which is just silly.
The scale is actually -1 to 10. But -1 is an outlier for anyone who had a complete and utter Rory Best.
The only thing I wonder about with the rating system is how it will deal with players who are only on the pitch for a short amount of time. We shall see.
Exactly. Score a try in the 10 minutes you're on the field and you'd probably get a 10 straight away. I think we're just gonna have to leave guys playing less than 21 minutes as unrated.
I think that's fair. Those guys will be playing reserves anyway so it's not like they're missing out on evidence.
Very pleased with this change. I think it'll probably help me get a better idea of what's going on in the sim.
