Steve McLaren sacked by Newcastle. Rafael Benitez tipped to take over. Your thoughts BigDougy ?
Let Rafa is here and has also had his first session with the players. I all can say is thank Goodness Mike Ashley is such a greedy cunt!! If it wasn't for the mega bucks T.V money coming into the league next season, Ashley would have been happy for either McLaren to stay or a mediocre yes man to take his place and be a puppet being worked from behind the scenes. Ashley knows we need to stay in the league at all costs this season. Did I think Rafa would come to Newcastle? Not on your life, most Newcastle fans thought it was paper talk and are truly thinking Why would he come to us in our position? Only time will tell, but I can guarantee you one thing....nothing ever goes straight at Newcastle and there is always a disaster pending, so fuck knows what will happen next. I got got rid of my season ticket when we appointed McLaren, as I was totally fed up with the mediocrity and management of the club and promised not to go back to see them play until he fucked off again...so looks like I might be back before the season ends.
> £300 on ticketing sites, but I might be able to get them cheaper via the club after the draw has been done tonight.
Suppose getting them via the club is easier for someone like Watford, its not like you've 75,000 through the gates each week - still will be bloody tough mind. Remember it being virtually impossible to get Utd tickets for big matches when we actually played in some. Never got a Wembley jaunt, even when I'd been to all the earlier stages games. Utd fans looking forward to seeing Wembley again too - Admittedly only because the train from here goes to Euston, so we get to see it on our way home with our tail between our legs...
Thankfully I have loads of royalty points (since I've had a season ticket at Reading for a few years) so I managed to get semi final tickets against Arsenal pretty easily last year. Think they were pretty damn reasonable too, something like £35 in the second top category. Maybe £45. Mind you Reading always have reasonable tickets, my season ticket this year was only £135.
I was at OT for United v West ham on Sunday. Jesus United were poor. The build up play is so slow. Fellaini is woeful. Basti was class when he came on, and Martial (and the team in general) looked so much better when he was up front.
Encouraging. They won't go on sale via the Watford ticketing site for a couple of weeks apparently, but will try to get some in the mad scramble when they do.
Just the small matter of a 6 pointer! Against the Mackem Scum on Sunday. Welcome to SJP Rafa!! The smell of tramps and cheesy chips, and the blokes trying to attract kids with mix-ups is coming from the away fans.
As long as Rafa doesn't spend more time at Gosforth Park Race Course like that little Scouse twat did, then I will be happy.
Yes Chester must be a good 20 miles away from Liverpool. There's plenty of scouse in that accent mate.
