So since Leicester have sacked Nigel Pearson just this evening, I reckon it's about time to start a thread for next season. Thoughts on his replacement? Harry Redknapp did say recently that he'd be open to go back into management if the situation was right for him. Reckon he would be keen for the Leicester job.
I'd be keen for him to take the Leicester job. Shit club with shit manager. Reckon they'll try and prise Lennon from Bolton myself. Which is equally fine with me.
Just said the working relationship was no longer viable. I reckon it's pretty likely that has something to do with it, but I doubt it's all of it. He does seem a tricky character if you don't agree with him.
O'Neill is doing a terrible job at Ireland. Constantly leaves out our best players for larger, fatter alternatives.
It'd be nice from a sentimental perspective but Leicester play quite attractive football and that would definitely not happen under O'Neill. He doesn't trust anyone who can control the ball in less than four touches.
Chelsea dropped points early this morning, would be good start if Arsenal can dust up West Ham tonight.
Swansea are a bit of a bogey team for top sides on the opening day it seems. Thought Smalling was outstanding in the centre of our defence today. Still not sure about Blind at cb though
Can't see it being anything permanent. I think he's played at LCB in a defence that has wingbacks but in a 4 man defence - doesn't feel me with a lot of confidence. I thought Smalling was brilliant too and was very happy with Darmian. Expected Carrick and Schneiderlin to control the game a bit more and was disappointed with the lack of chance creation.
I suspect hes there as a left footer and Rojo will return when hes fit. This Oxford kid looked good for West Ham today i thought
