Agree, she's quite good which has surprised me. The only real good thing is that the shitness is shitness which can easily be salvaged. Too many bland and sappy MOTW eps. At least some of the RTD MOTW eps were still interesting. Moffatt should just stick to convoluted underlying story arcs etc.
Think the submarine episode and the first episode were both pretty good but it's been a below par series. I was liking the most recent episode right up until the word "symbiotic" - at which point the entire thing just became ridiculous - and yeah I know that DW is supposed to be silly but there's a point where the whole thing's just narm.
It has been a average season but I hold hopes that something good is going to happen, I honestly didn't even understand the last episode, there was a alien on her chest but it didn't explain why!? it's building to a big HOLY SHIT moment with Clara though.
I thought a load of episodes with Amy Pond were shit as well tbh Dinosaurs on a spaceship come to mind straight off
It was good to see a bit more of the inside, but the twist was obvious by the point they were running around the main console and looking at each other
I thought the "use the time machine to undo everything" ending was disappointing given that in literally every other episode it's a given that they can't do that, or else the show just doesn't work.
Last week's episode in Victorian Yorkshire was almost a parody of the show. Worst episode I've seen in a long time.

They're revealing the name of the doctor, it seems. Which nobody gives a shit about and can only detract from the show. I hate to be a generic hate filled fan or something but it's becoming harder and harder to call me a fan. Pretty much every series since 1963 or whenever has kept me entralled and interested, I even put up with Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy ffs and this season has me disinterested. It just reminds of of the Sarah Jane Adventures with a higher budget and worse plotlines. It seems like it's aimed at the 9-14 age bracket now. I mean, like, at the end of season 6 with Dorian's prophecy and all they could have gone in so many directions and this is what they choose fuck off
