That's not people 'enjoying the place' then is it? They're all using the toilets of the restaurant and only a 1/3 of the table is choosing to eat.
CW bitching talk is in no way a small part of the Crabs forum tbh. I just don't really have an issue with that.
You don't even slightly understand > You don't have a clue what is posted > It isn't up to you what 'should be on the forum' > You're clearly having a massive strop that your team (which has been dominant for years and still is) might decline for what is clearly legitimate reasons. The vast majority of what is posted in the Crabs forum is posted there for the same reasons as the Ravens forum, ie because that's the group whoever posted it felt like talking to. We also have more discussion of SR than any other team.
Yours was an opinion I held for a long time regarding sides that formed their own cliques and held their own drafts and competitions etc., but it was a personal opinion that I never tried to press onto others, just something that I kind of had as an unwritten rule within the Stickies. I never saw the merit in trying to force people to post where they don't want to.
Worse tbh. I'll have to puy off joining until at least s8 if there's not enough stuff worth reading yet is there.
Nah, disagree. Teams subforums are part of the place. That's how I see it. And given a) Your opinion doesn't count, and b) You sent me a Facebook message telling me you were trolling in this thread I don't really give a fuck if you think otherwise tbh.
I'm not lecturing anybody on what they should be posting. I can't see it, so for all I care it can be a full on flame war. I don't give a fuck about it. I'm saying, and Heef has basically said the same thing, that the Crabs are using their subbie in a way that everyone else uses the main forums and since there is an incentive for using it how the Crabs are using it, something should be done. While you misunderstood what I said, your example about the Stingrays and Crabs subbies doesn't really apply because afaik one doesn't have the same incentive that the other does. Trust me, I hate the stupid flaming, trolling and personal attacks that go on between a certain subset of posters here as much as the next reasonable guy, so I get that you want a place to post that isn't full of people like that. However, the most significant point for me is that the Crabs subbie is being used in a way that none of the other incentivised posting subbies are used for and the extent of that is far beyond anything we can just ignore.
I'm seeing 4 threads on our front page that are CW-related? We almost talk about Cricsim shenanigans more than CS these days. The majority of the stuff is just stuff that could easily be in the Pub.
Trolling is wrong, I basically believe everything I'm saying but in reality care nowhere near as much as I'm professing to
Ray Girls is the best thread on the site without exception. It's so much more than just posting pictures of 10/10s although Weeman does oblige thankfully. Such a gun thread, don't even compare it m8
I think there's a big difference between arguing it's bad for the sim (which it is or at least will be, IMO) and arguing it's bad for the forum (which it's not, certainly not given what my vision for this forum has been for years now). Teams developing little groups of discussion for personal day to day stuff is pretty much exactly what I want here.
1/3? Why are you ignoring the fact that this - bullshit analogy that it is- applies to maybe 3 posters, one of whom has a decent SR player, as I already detailed?
Almost folded the Spartans before this season because they ceased to be what it was before, despite the fact we're winning this season at a canter, so pull the other one. I set up a BBsim franchise which has been battered for just over a season and play for the Ravens when I could make any BS side - nah, I play to win obvz.
Just rotate the Crabs brand through all the sims. We'll go take our postcounts to BasketballSim next season and CricSim after that. That way we'll only "dominate" each competition one season at a time.
Could be too much work, but maybe make it so only X number of posts per person per subbie can count per Y period of time? Effectively the most active people will still be active, but if you're posting that much in a subbie that isn't the main SR subbie, it probably isn't related to SR.
