While this is true, one of them has almost 6000 posts and another has almost 300 in about a week. It's consigned to a couple of threads generally but it's a significant part of it.
The fact that this would never happen is probably an indicator that the Crabs branding isn't as strong as most would think. I'd never be confident of recruiting a CricSim side from the Crabs, so why can't other sides just try to take our players from us?
That's not really the same thing. You wouldn't recruit me for Crabs CC since I think the same team being in multiple sims is a bit crap*, but I wouldn't leave the crabs for lots of reasons, including losing subbie access. *and couple of other reasons
<s>It's because people don't care about other sims as much</s> It's because the Crab's forum does absolutely everything it needs to for the people who are in it and the same over would be pointless.
Just seems a bit rich that the place is deader than it's ever been and rather than try and improve the overall forum the Crabs are sat there all 'well we're cushty with our forum within a forum hosted on a different forum'. When if that chat was taken onto the main forum, in all likelihood, it'd improve the whole place. I just have a different view to how this forum operates than everyone else I guess.
Can people stop being shits in this thread. Howe, Baxter, Cribb. Petty points scoring isn't helping. Any more shitty points scoring and I'll infract people. Which'll be difficult for Baxter and Cribb, but I'll give it a go. This is a legitimate issue which needs some kind of resolution. We're not talking a small difference here, we're talking some pretty major difference. The Spartans were about as far ahead of the pack as the Crabs are now - I have no issue with that. The issue is that the gap is going to grow significantly in the off-season in particular if nothing is done. It's all well and good to say that other teams should try and take Crabs players, but I don't see many (if any) of the Crabs players leaving. We could conceivably see a competition where the top 2 teams are nailed on certainties before the season starts. Which is basically how both the SRC and RRC competitions look at the moment. It's shit, and it doesn't exactly enthrall me to sim another season of repetitive grind where the only interesting games are those on the periphery of any meaning. EDIT: I really regret the hiatus I had earlier in the season now. It's another reason why I can't have another break before this season is over.
How many posters are you talking about? This is the third time you've ignored my point - almost all Crabs members do post on the open forum and several are currently playing a big hand in keeping SR going.
Tbph I don't even know how the Spartans are this good. I think a large part of it is luck more than anything. We could have easily lost the match against the Sharks if it hadn't been for them failing in the last 20 minutes.
All of them. None of you have done anything of note on the open forum besides stealing players I want in CPL.
This is actually a really big issue for me, and the same happened in CricSim with the massive break and players racking up huge post counts before debuting. Completely kills realism when you have teams closing huge talent gaps overnight but at the same time I don't agree that people who haven't contributed in years should be vastly better than those who have, as you want to reward activity and participation. It's tricky but I do think there's a better balance to be struck but then again, it only becomes an issue when 'schedules' aren't stuck to/
The post count advantages some Crabs members have hasn't yet translated into sim dominance. We haven't won anything yet. My post rank, for one, is as good as it's ever going to get. Why is it so much worse to have two top sides than one, the state of which hasn't drawn any complaint from you for three years?
