Including Ireland would make it difficult to make a knock out comp. Any chance of a ROW XI? There are a few Namibians, a few Dutchies, possibly a Kenyan or two. Any chance of a competitive side? Are the Scottish Poms easy to distinguish?
Williamson not making it was harsh, but I'm fairly sure that was part of the randomisation and not a proper non-selection as such, though. So many players in that squad have no chance of playing of playing for NZ any time soon though. Bond, Adams, O'Brien and Oram (basically the whole pace attack) have retired from Tests and Sinclair, Ingram, Cumming (the top order) and Broom are completely out of favour.
I was going to split Australia up into all the different states but I thought it'd make the 'world championship' part of it kinda of unrealistic. And then I should really do similar things for England, South Africa and India but I don't know where the players are from so I can't.
Would have been pretty shit to release this if there was no randomisation, tbh. It's quite interesting to look through and guess which players probably don't deserve to be there, and spotting the glaring omissions.
