That side with Lyon and Gasnier centres providing Gaz bounces back, Scott is hopeless, Jennings looked lost. mannah killed it off the bench which was good to see.
Lyon and Gasnier are both right side centres and Inglis destroyed both of them Bellamy only giving him 10 minutes was ridiculous.
Well that was a disappointment. I did expect NSW to lose but I honestly thought they could of won that with only 10 minutes to go. Michael Gordon and Michael Jennings were solid with the limited opportunities they were given. Gordon could of scored at least once if he didn't have a useless centre inside him. Beau Scott is terrible and shouldn't have the Origin jersey on him ever again. Was good to see Jennings coming in and looking for a run but I swear Ennis refused to let him have a scoot. It annoys me because I know that Jennings knows when there is an opportunity for a scoot. Paul Gallen was pretty good I thought except for the error in the first set. Also the play that lead to Gidley scoring where he could of passed it left instead and Jennings or Morris was in. Other than that he was pretty good and didn't give away any penalties. Just ran hard and did his job. Greg Bird was pretty good as well. Livened up our attack but still have mixed feelings on his selection in the first. Kurt Gidley I thought played like he does for Newcastle which was great as it silences his many, many critics. He did great and our attack looked better when he was on. He just livened the whole team up. Was definitely NSW Man of the Match. Jarryd Hayne isn't a NSW quality fullback. His amateurish actions can cause problems. Even something as simple as stopping the ball with your foot. That kick from the bomb was stupid and it could of lead to a try... for the Maroons. He was just lucky that Gordon was standing right where he kicked it. Anthony Watmough had a good game. Came off the bench and did his job. Got more opportunities than he would of because of Lewis' injury. Overall the QLD side are just too dominant and NSW need to pick a side in game 1 next year and stick with it. I would keep most of the players in this side the same just with the necessary changes with form and injuries. Not sure on Gasnier just yet, if he shows form next season than sure. It will be him vs Lyon for the right centre spot. There goes Origin for another year, lets hope next years series results in a Blues victory!
Did you watch more than the first 20 minutes? He had a bad start, but he really picked up his game in the last 50 or so minutes. He ended up being one of our best players. He did as well as anyone else would have at fullback, i'll tell you that. Topped the tackle busts and linebreaks. Also, that 'kick' was silly, but it's just like batting the ball back to a player, which everyone does. I don't see how you can criticise one and not the other.
I am happy to admit that he did improve by the end of it. I thought he went too Parramatta at the end though and tried to do too much.
First post i read in this thread is Hughesy bullshit. Pearce was ordinary as was Ennis. We made too many school boy errors to stand a chance of winning that game.
Seems that all the props were ****ing useless with TLL again being the pick of the lot. (although you can't really judge Mannah on ten minutes). Backrow seemed epic.
Hughesy, you're a ****en dead shit. What ****ing game did you watch? Gallen made a bad play because he went back in and gave it to Gidley to score instead of continuing to go outside with Jennings and Morris even though there was about 8 Queenslanders sliding in defence to cover it. Dead set dolt.
Had to lol at all the penalties against QLD in the end where they were being held down by blue faggots. Biggest lol penalty of the lot was the first one against Thaiday from Gallen right at the end of the first half.
I'm getting sick of everyone riding Hayne, with the ball in hand he was pretty awesome last night, pretty sure he shrugged at least one tackle on nearly every run. Not to mention he should've had a try assist next to his name when Morris spilt the ball. Was good to see Bird back, between him and Gidley for MOTM despite some poor handling. I think Bird is made for origin, seemed to give Queensland a few headaches to what I can recall.
I seriously agree with Frizzed. This debate has been going on for ages now. Just get over it until the 2011 Origin series.
