Will try and list the bigger ones. Okkervil River The Strokes Sonic Youth Kings of Leon The White Stripes Franz Ferdinand Sleater Kinney Iggy and the Stooges Mogwai Augie March Yeah Yeah Yeahs Guitar Wolf Lily Allen The Streets Jurassic 5 Ratatat Death Cab For Cutie Bright Eyes Apples in Stereo Wolfmother Muse Jose Gonzales Sarah Blasko Gotye Frenzal Rhomb The Living End Grinspoon Silverchair The Subways Cut Copy The Grates Tool The Violent Femmes The Presets The Herd You Am I Angus and Julia Stone Regurgitator Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Brian Wilson TV on the Radio The Vines The Zutons Dungen Xiu Xiu Rodriguez Architecture in Helsinki The Drones Little Birdy Probably a fuckload more.
Saw them a couple of times. First time was at Home Nightclub (one of the best gigs I have ever been to). Other was in the Big Top at Groovin The Moo festival. Was epic despite the power fucking out.
Have only started gigging in recent years. The fucking problem in America is you have to be over 21 if alcohol is served on the premises so that's ruled me out of any show I've ever wanted to go to. Foo Fighters and Social Distortion to be added to the list come next Sunday. Gaslight Anthem Hold Steady Lucero Lionize The Doors (They did a re-uinion concert a few days ago with all the surviving members plus a Jim Morrison wannabe.) Less Than Jake Zebrahead The Kooks (x2) Dillenger Escape Plan We are the Ocean Only really care for the top 3 tbh.
So far, only band you guys would have heard of would have been Westlife, when I was 7. I can't remember who the warm up acts were though.
Heaps jel. Have seen the Kooks myself and it was pretty damn good. Not read Julian's big list but I saw Mogwai was on there
Justice Fatboy Slim Deadmau5 Kanye West Calvin Harris Art Vs Science Boys noize Pendulum Prodigy Presets The Proxy America Chromeo Arman Van Helden Santagold Lupe Fiasco Hilltop Hoods Cut Copy Radioclit Simian Mobile Disco Surkin Gossip Mark Ronson etc Tame Impala Proxy Fake Blood Casio kids The Ting Ting's Peaches Duck Sauce MGMT Axwell John Dahlback Fedde Le Grand Plump DJ's Ajax Tommy Trash 2manyDJ's Bag Raiders Faker Arctic Monkeys Ember Midnight Juggernauts Timmy Trumpet New Navy Grinspoon A-trak The Grates Operator Please There'd be a fair few more but they're the major ones plus a couple of dodgy ones I remember seeing. Biggets surprise and near best act I've seen was Gossip, Beth Ditto just goes nuts I wasn't a big fan of Tame Impala until I saw them live either, they were sick. Big mention to Santagold who was pretty awesome. All the heavy hitters were pretty awesome mau5, Boys nozie, Justice, Pendulum etc. Worst: Duck Sauce- two of the worlds best, completely blew it, 2many DJ's- Just a bad set, poorly mixed, poor song selection and were copying other DJ's drops, real shit. Worst part was I missed Fred Falke to see them MGMT-Didn't expect them to be any good and they weren't, absolute balls live.
It's over a few festivals. Field day x 3, Good vibes x 3, BDO x 2, Stereosonic and Future. Wouldn't ever go anywhere near future or Big day out again, poorly set up festivals imo. Don't see me going to many festivals again. I just don't really like the dubstep direction that a lot of dance acts are heading in and they were what drew me into festivals.
Actually come to think of it A-trak was pretty balls the last time I saw him solo, Armand Van Helden was sick though
