Anzac Test

None of them are top players, they're solid first graders at best and even that's probably over-selling them Kata in particular who still hasn't learnt how to tackle over the off-season.

2. Fiery GR Smith

He already has done very well at international level tbf. He debuted in the 2011 Anzac Day test and set up a try for Matt Duffie. He also made a great impact off the bench and scored a try himself in this shellacking...

Indeed I was aware he had played before and was having trouble with my grammar, "would play well at international level" - might have been better as "his game is well suited to the international level".

he is intelligent.

What I am trying to say is that Lewis Brown will be more effective in International rugby league that what he will in club rugby.

The whole pace of the game suits him better and he can handle that pace and the complexity of the decision making required better than others...

He has actually improved his defence quite a lot since last season tbf. But just checked his stats and yeah his success rate of 86% is still nothing to write home. Up from 82% last season though.

So yeah...even though he's getting better in defence, that's a fair comment. Probably needs to strengthen that area of his game before playing for NZ.

Such a weapon in attack though. And so hard to stop close to the line from dummy half. Just burrows under players with immense leg strength.

Intelligent rugby league player? Now there's an oxymoron  ;)

Ahead of Mansour?

8. Magic AJ Parker

Mansour would trump him in number of carries, SKD is the more potent runner though. He ranks second only to Tedesco in tackle breaks and has 6 genuine linebreaks in 7 games.

I did say arguable with Mansour in mind.

I'd take Mansour, Rapana, Taufua and maybe a few others of the top of my head. Funnily enough all 4 of those players are very good at those carries but have a propensity to fuck the odd one up with a mindless handling error.

I will have to keep an eye on Rapana then. Wasn't even on my radar...but I haven't watched many Raiders games.

He's been one of the best wingers in the competition. His attacking play down the short side salvaged the draw against Newcastle at a clutch point about 3 minutes left and 6 behind. And he's been one of the best on field the last 2 weeks despite being in heavily beaten teams.

And if you haven't watched many Raiders games you should probably stop sprouting opinions on them.

Lol. I'm free to form an opinion from scores and match reports and from the games I have watched, in which they've been awful. Don't have time to watch every single NRL game.

I like the way you have actually ignored the last and more important part of my sentence, and even had the audacity to add your own full stop inside the quote there Julian. FMD. Misquoting in the extreme.

The only opinion I have actually expressed about the Raiders is that they're a bit rubbish and highly overrated anyway.

The fact you let a match result let you judge a players performance is hilarious.

I love when you post in a match thread with something stupid, everyone says you're wrong, you then fallback on your excuse of "was only watching the highlights"

What games outside of the Warriors do you watch in full?

19. Fiery GR Smith

I said match report, not match result. I watch every Warriors game and usually one or two others. Rapana hasn't stood out for me in the few Raiders games I have watched and I certainly didn't think he had played his way into NZ test selection consideration, but as I said, given Julian and Voss rate him that highly I'll follow his form more closely.

If he does make the side then you can say I'm "stupid" and "wrong". Until then STFU.

Rapana has been very good and was surprisingly decent last year but half a dozen top games shouldn't make you an international.
