Just finished watching the Wellington game. Really solid first half from us. Fell to bits at the end but didn't matter, they got the win 29-10 which was good. Taranaki were awful again. JKP actually added something when he came on though.

Happy for Otago to have the shield tbh. I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Otago but them with the shield should do a world of good. Been a pretty poor year for the southerners in terms of the Landers. Hopefully this brings the spark back. Expecting big crowds.

yeah was good to see otago win the shield, its always good to see it away from the waikatos, aucklands and canterburys who seem to always end up with it

Voltman will have a massive hangover today.

He showed up on CW - to say "Ranfurly Shield Motherfuckers!" and then hasn't been seen since.

In other news this Tasman half back is very very handy.

    Who is he.

    Is it Swanepoel?

  6. Hurricane JD Hurricane

    Yep I think so.

Tasman having no ball in the 2nd half and 20 minutes gone.

Scrum 5 metres out now to finish the game off.

Number 16 for Southland is a tool.

Picked Northland by 4. 20 seconds for them to hold on.

    Northland win by 4.....picked it!!!

Ran interference with the try line beckoning for one of his players. Then with 45 seconds late did a not straight throw into the line out.

Some players make me feel like I should lace them up.

    Wanganui 16 - 17 King Country

Whoop! Massive victory. 3 tries to one as well! Go the Rams!

Horowhenua Kapiti nearly got up against East Coast as well. A last minute penalty winning it for last year's champs. A few other surprises in the Heartlands today.

was about to ask when the heartland champs start

or was that just preseason, good stuff from the rams either way

Good start by Wellington with that try. Wellington to walk over North Harbour if Harbour don't pull their socks up.

A Wellington win seems pretty inevitable either way.

  14. Arheiner SIA Yates

You'll walk over Harbour. Not watching but I have no doubt.

  15. Rego RS Hutchinson

We were up 21-0 then Harbour scored two tries before halftime so it's 21-14 now.

Too many handling errors from us. Good tries though. Harbour defence was poor, giving heaps of penalties away but it's improved and Harbour are playing better than how they started off.

    Well Wellington won 35-27

North Harbour actually ended up playing really well. Wellington fell to bits a bit (especially at the breakdown) and a yellow card at the end gave Harbour a chance but luckily we held on and that's all that matters I guess.

4 try bonus point as well.

Urgh. Disappointing tstl after the last two weeks. Maybe a bit of complacency from the Loins?

I'd love to see some more clinical and ruthless rugby from Wellington, but I guess it's their mercurial nature which makes them so good to watch.

Bit of complacency and probably the fact a few starters were rested on the bench which didn't help in terms of structure. Charlie Ngatai played pretty well inside Bateman. Which was a positive.

I've tipped Otago to win but who knows. Big game on Sunday. Hawke's Bay are boosted by Ben Franks.

Good to hear that ticket sales have been good.

Hoping Counties and Tasman play some good running rugby tonight.

Holy shit. Supporting the Chiefs and Waikato is a whole different kettle of fish.
