Yeah, that was one of our main reason. We actually had another player before him that I wanted, but he was picked before us - not surprisingly.
The team is coming well together now. 1. Sanath Jayasuriya 2. 3. Jesse Ryder (batting position to be confirmed) 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Chaminda Vaas 10. 11. Makhaya Ntini
Not likely, if I recall correctly, the NRLM oval clubhouse is still resisting the draconian rules set down by CCB and is still serving beer before, during and after play. Jesse'll be a mess by the toss, IMO.
1. Sanath Jayasuriya 2. 3. Brad Hodge 4. Jesse Ryder 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Chaminda Vaas 10. Mark Davies 11. Makhaya Ntini Shaping up nicely. A pretty balanced bowling unit with Jayasuriya and Ryder to provide part time dibblies.
I regret to inform you that even the options panel could not prevent Mark Davies being injured for the duration of the CPL tournament.
Ok, that was surreal. Just opened this thread to make a post saying that I had a feeling you would steal my next pick (Davies). Shit.
Played against Sussex a fortnight ago, I believe. I think he took 6 in the game. Not too sure. I only really follow Essex's performances in the County Championship, and I've been giving those a miss due to them being shite.
1. Sanath Jayasuriya 2. 3. Brad Hodge 4. Jesse Ryder 5. 6. 7. 8. Irfan Pathan 9. Chaminda Vaas 10. Mark Davies 11. Makhaya Ntini Okay. Not a very scary bowling line up, but solid enough and there just aren't many strike bowlers out there at the moment. Lucky to get Ntini really. Would have preferred Steyn, obviously, but Makhaya still has it at the moment. Will be pretty easy to find decent middle order bats to fill the voids.
Copying Ged. All FC stats. 1. Sanath Jayasuriya (Bat: 38.59, Bowl: 32.77) 2. 3. Brad Hodge (48.57) 4. Jesse Ryder (Bat: 44.37, Bowl: 27.26) 5. 6. 7. 8. Irfan Pathan (Bat: 29.89, Bowl: 29.92) 9. Chaminda Vaas (Bat: 25.95, Bowl: 25.02) 10. Mark Davies (21.31) 11. Makhaya Ntini (28.56)
