A few tough encounters in the doubles there. No easy rides at the Australian Open.

  2. Gazza GJ Weaver

Bit of revenge on kata in the doubles. Frizz to not be so selfish and focus on the doubles tourney this time

  3. MASTERS S Masters

  4. jimmy_c8 MC James

Happy to push the top seed to 5 sets but disappointing not to get the win as I had the momentum going into the 5th set

  5. Starris ER Starris

It would appear I do suck at it.

  6. Number 11 CJ Downes

Wow, a really close match between Warrington and I.
My shoulders are sore from carrying Downes through doubles. At least I can give them a rest now that he got us eliminated.

Singles, Second Round - Bottom Half

Ritwick Chowdhuri has somehow got himself into the quarter finals, defeating Heath Davis in straight sets. Surprising many with the win, Chowdhuri impressed with his low error game whilst also overpowering Davis with his serve, which hasn't been seen often. Thankfully, he will face Luka Popovic next, who will hopefully give him what for. The Serbian came through relatively unscathed in what was a match of shit serve v even shitter serve. Ginger Furball practically signed his own death warrant by serving close to 40 double faults, although he did push Popovic to a tie break in the third set, he never really looked like winning. Ivan Ryabovol and Jonny Ridd had routine victories over Celts to book the final places in the last eight.

    Results
    Luka Popovic def Ginger Furball 6-4, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-4
    Ritwik Chowdhuri def Heath Davis 6-1, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3)
Ivan Ryabovol def Andrew James 6-4, 6-3, 6-3
Jonny Ridd def Chris Raftery 6-4, 6-4, 6-4
