Morgie all giddy like a school girl because the gamblers signed someone of note.

  2. Ged GEC King

    ****ing hell Morgie. Zakabump crazy.

Does anyone else still not really rate the Gamblers?

I mean, Manera and Jemmell are going to absolutely hold up the batting. Morgie and Herd are fairly sketchy but could come good and blokes like Davis, Hayes and O'Driscoll are a shadow of their former selves.

Tyson's still good but I think that he's actually a bit over-rated at bs level. He only averaged 25 with the bat last season which is pretty poor for a no.7 and 33 with the pill. It's great for your 5th bowler but it's not ridiculous.

Choco's coming off his worst season since season 5, although admittedly that's more an indication of his consistency than anything else but there is a chance that inactivity has already started to catch up with him.

BTF's coming off his worst season since season 3, and again, he still averaged 31 but it's far from what he was.

If all three of the fasties produce the seasons of last season, the Gamblers will be in decent stead. However, there's a pretty good chance that they'll all perform worse than last season.

Having said all that, Wilson's still ****ing bullshit good and Taylor is improving.

The spinners are the key though. They could both dominate the competition.
I'd take blokes like Weaver and Farny over Tyson and Bullpitt, at bs level, however.

Yeah their side is overrated. We've seen how fail it is signing a bunch of gun blokes who're fairly inactive in S7, adding 3 seasons to that you know it's going to happen again when they're definitely on the decline.

  4. BigDougy DG Dafter

Whatever spin or PR that comes from the Gamblors (and there will be plenty of it over the next few weeks) it's hard to look past the inactive players in the team.

  5. AVA T Delonge

Gemmell will just respond with some biased crap to refute any claims that they'll be shit/it could backfire.

  6. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

It's honestly not even worth responding too. Our bowling is going to be better than the test team, but apparently bowling is going to be a problem for us. I could sign the entire test side and Ged would still rant about its weaknesses and say the Shitgays are better in everyway. Not even worth my time discussing it. I'll let the results do that for me.

  7. Wilson SB Wilson

    Well said.

  8. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Agree with Boobs here, any criticism of their bowling attack just sounds like sour grapes. It's fine to caveat their ability with their inactivity, but we'll find out soon enough how stand-out that bowling attack is.

  9. Jabba HJ Bots

Thought this was updated 2020 ratings. :(

  10. Callum CJ Laing

As far as I am aware people have said your long tail is your biggest weakness tbh. Anyone slagging off your bowling is just being foolish. I don't see why Choco should have any problems. He was active last season. Even if some of the inactive bowlers have their inactivity catch up on them a bit they are still going to be the best group of bowlers in CricSim.

  11. Farny AP Farnsworth

I'm calling Tyson to average 33 or higher this season.

  12. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

    Wavens to win

  13. Gazza GJ Weaver

    Bowling wise?

  14. Farny AP Farnsworth

Indeed. That'll get quoted back to me when he takes 50 at 18 a piece now.

  15. Gazza GJ Weaver

    Sorry :(

  16. AVA T Delonge

Tbf, Ged just argued that there is a good chance that Man, Bullpit and Tyson are on the decline due to their inactivity, which is a reasonable argument. It'll be the best bowling attack in the comp, but some Gamblors are overestimating your chances of winning IMO.

  17. stupersteve03 SJ Cambridge

    Just say morgie

  18. Wilson SB Wilson

They're ability might drop off but I don't think it will make too much of a difference if they're all on the same team. They won't become total nuffs, so even if they do lose it a touch it's still hard for batsmen to face Man and Tyson, then Bullpitt with Taylor and I to follow

  19. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

    Indeed
It is the best bowling attack in the comp and we still have a good batting lineup. Our biggest problem is the one that never gets mentioned, our keeper.
Indeed. If one bowls poorly in a game we have 4 other superstars to pick up the slack.

  20. Baxter MJ Deane

    *declining superstars
