Four current or ex opening batsmen in my team (Karu, Tresco, Lahiru and Watling) with only 11 selected is pretty gun. Thirimanne and Watling can bat anywhere and with Sinclair in the wings I have a lot more batting depth than the number of selections suggests.

Why not put Vaas in? Got another all rounder on your mind?

  5. Phlegm SP Phlegm

yeah there are a couple of jammy cunts i have in mind who will provide more batting and a good 5th bowling option. i really like mclaren at 8 and swann at 9.

  6. Gazza GJ Weaver

Did you think Vaas was not going to last? Just seems weird to pick a similar player that would not be in the starting xi

  7. Phlegm SP Phlegm

there were a few blokes on my list of various types who i think should go this round and i think vaas was both the best cricketer and the most likely to go soon. a few more will go before my next pick but basically id rather take the risk of losing my number 7 prospect because i have others, the lot of them are shunts, and i gain a good bowling allrounder for depth.

neither vaas nor mclaren will bat at seven if i can help it. in fact vaas just plain won't be. he's a good reserve bowler who bats 8 or 9.

Meaker's record since 2010 not quite up to his record since 2010/2011 but I'll take it, and he's tipped to be a future England genuine fast bowler so that's nice. Counting on Jimmy's exploits from the last two years to continue and him to boost it up the charts to easily put his first few games to bed. Since he's extremely likely to make his test debut on friday he's a good chance.

    Watling and Neesham (Y)

dayboo hundred for Neesham helping the Squirts cause.

  16. Phlegm SP Phlegm

a 7-10 of Neesham, McLaren, Vaas and Swann would be so h4x.

Updated stats for the Neesh and Watling above. Watling's average actually falls a little but his runs quality should go up after this test.

Play Neesh and Hard Arse in all your trials and figure it out from that IMO.
