Well, given the on paper inferiority of the Souths side, I think it's time for us to boast a little that we cannot lose the series to the Norths. 1 win, 1 draw with one game to go. It really has been an impressive series from us so far. Most players in the team have provided a solid contribution to the results so far, and I've been seriously impressed by some of the impact players have had off the bench. When guns like Welker and Schaw can't make the first XV, we know something's going well. Reckon we'd have already won the series if we had a 3rd decent backrower to call on.
It was absolutely unbelievable tbh!! I still can't believe it happened tbh, such a good win for you guys.
Yeah. I think the sim gets a little bit more unpredictable as the teams get better. What appear to be sizeable gaps are diminished by both teams having so many top players that can combine and score tries out of nothing.
Great series. Masters having played better than Welker is pretty huge for the sharks next season too.
Welker hasn't played in the series mainly because Masters can cover the whole front row. Masters has played well, mind. It shows he's been wasted on the bench at club level all season. Seems to be a quality option at the breakdown too.
It was an unfortunate situation tbh. When he was signed he was a pretty much unknown quantity. Possibly should have started him a couple of times, but both of our props were solid for the majority of the season and gave no indication that they should be dropped.
Definitely. He's just been unlucky with the club he signed for, really. And that all your injuries haven't hit the front rowers.
It must do, there's no other way that the first result could have happened it's certainly provided us with entertainment though!!
I think its safe to say that we suprised many, especially in that first game. We all saw with the Vbookie odds that no one really gave us a shot, yet we proved them wrong, and won me some vcash on the way. Even in that second game, when we looked dead and buried we stood up and managed to steal a draw. We were 18-0 down withing 15-20 minutes, yet that try before half time really gave us hope of getting a result.
