Search Time Out

    Possible to get rid of it? I always click New Posts and the time out keeps happening :(

    I click New Posts like every 5 seconds. Then when it doesnt work, I proceed to refresh another 10 or so times.

    Probably because you're a moderator (at Nino)

    Anyway, the answer is no, for now anyway. Searching takes up a lot of resources so I don't want people doing it every 15 seconds. Use the back button to go to back to the new posts page.

    Refreshing 10+ times actually takes up a lot less resources than searching every 5 seconds tbh.

    The only time it really bothers me is when I accidently double click the new posts button and get timed out lol.

    When you log in, and it says 'Thank you for logging in. Click this button to be re-directed' or something similar. If you click it, you get timed out and lose all the New Posts.

    Yeah hate how New Posts works here. If I log onto the forum on my computer by the time I get onto my laptop New Posts has been wiped. Is dire.

    Seeing as though people are whinging, the 5min time-out thingy is more annoying. I know it needs to be in place for the OD activity to not be rigged, but I hae it when I'm playing PS3 whilst on the laptop and clicking new posts only to notice that it has signed me out.

    Nuh. Farhat's not on about the server time outs, he means that if you leave the forum open for 5 minutes without doing anything it signs you out.
