Rugby League World Cup - 2017

  1. Magic AJ Parker

Remembering watching a bunch of Lebanon games 8 years ago with George Ndaria tearing it up at halfback. Shame he retired.

  2. Speirz DG Speirs

If the Knights NSW Cup could convince him to pull the boots on, Lebanon might've stood a chance of doing so as well.

  3. RyanG R Gee

They already have a few NRL/ex-NRL players in there who are playing in the qualifiers (Travis Robinson, Ray Moujalli) but yeah, they'll probably pick up the likes of Tim Mannah and Robbie Farah plus there'd be some others getting around.

Yeah they will get the full compliment if they make it, looking good so far for them

Lebanon won their second match against South Africe 50-16. The aggregate score between the two was 90-28 in favor of Lebanon meaning they advance to RLWC 2017. First time since the 2000 RLWC that Lebanon will be involved in the tournament.

  9. cloughie09 TJ Clough

some tough groups there for the minnows, hopefully a few upsets a long the way.

also well done to the ceders for making it back to the world cup, they will be a interesting one to watch

  10. cloughie09 TJ Clough

Wales beat Ireland 30-4 to win the European Championship, pretty much making a mockery of the qualifying system.

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

If all goes to plan for the poms they'll have arguably the best pack

    May even contend IMO.

  12. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

    Whats their two row like?

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

Assuming this means second row, it's not as good as their middle third but it's still pretty good. They've got Whitehead carving up for Canberra at the moment, plus Liam Farrell, Brett Ferris, John Bateman and Ben Currie who are all pretty solid. They could potentially shift O'Loughlin into the second row given how many middle third players they've got too.

Apparently Dave Taylor wants to play for them as well but I don't think I'd pick him.

  14. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

Taylor would be a good bench option. Can cover centres, edge and middle.

  15. Alex AJ O'Driscoll

Surely Bennett will not pick Taylor ffs

  16. Julian BJ Taylor

2 in NSW at Allianz: England v Leganon and Australia v Lebanon

    2 in Canberra

The rest in NZ, Vic, Qld, Perth and NT hahahahahahahahahaha

Going to interesting to see Channel 7's coverage. Can't be any worse than 9's. I am so fed up with the constant cuts to the bench and injured players. Seriously it is infuriating.

  18. morgieb MC Burridge

I'm presuming at that point ANZ will be out of action?

  19. Notsure SM Green

ANZ would never get above 40,000 for international league, even for a World Cup final.

  20. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah it would. For the final they'd get at least 50 imo.
