    Cribb does a "Club League table" and it values BS performance at (I think) double the ALC performance. I know what you're saying, but I don't agree that BS performance and ALC performance are of equal value when determining the strength of a club.

    Even if BS & ALC counted for the same, the Ravens still have more total club points anyway...

    Ravens: 70 BS 32 ALC = 102
    Gamblahs: 52 BS 48 ALC = 100



    102 > 100 therefore Ravens are better.

    The BS is of a higher standard and runs scored there are harder to earn, likewise with wickets, as compared to the ALC. Therefore it is only fair that a club gets awarded more points in the rankings for runs and wickets that were a result of an overall higher quality of cricket.

    How does higher quality = greater importance?

    There have been about three people attempt to rationalise this and I'm still not persuaded of the proposition. Saying wickets are harder to take or runs are harder to score, is already implicit in the notion of higher quality.

    We're talking about the club, overall.
