Game close to kick off. I am hoping for a real good game here. I will be interested in Tom Humble. Also now I think of it who is going to play 5/8 if Barrett is with the Blues did I miss it? Porter back in or is Kelly being given a shot. I guess all will be answered shortly.

haha spelling fail is you picked it up.

Cronulla are epic value at 3.70. I can't see where Parramatta are going to get their points from, and the Sharks forwards + Barrett will be fired up at being left out of Origin. They'll definitely take solace from what happened earlier in the year too. Parramatta seriously do not have anyone who passes for a genuine ballplayer in the team so they'll be completely reliant on their forwards getting a lot of second phase play going. That's a lot easier to defend against if you know it's the opposition's only weapon.

Tipped the Sharks for this game. Lets get the win.

10 minutes in score remains 0-0. Sharks have been given plenty of opportunity. Parramatta's execution has been the issue for them so far.

TRY to Tom Humble. First in the NRL. I feel sorry for the Sharks now. Sharks should of scored after Barrett threw a pass which was intercepted.

6-0 to Parra (Kick won't be missed).

Was well read from Burt so I guess it wasn't too bad. Passed a little too late I would think.

TRY Anthony Tupou. 6-4 kick to come. Kick missed.

Nice piece of lead up work by Smith.

I want to see this from the Sharks every week. They will win more games if they play like this. They are very fast in this game, they are attacking strongly. Smith is playing great. Cuthbertson has been pretty good since being injected into the game about 5 minutes ago.

TRY to Dean Collis after a lovely ball by Nathan Gardner. Far out I like this fella. He has been great tonight so far. Nathan Gardner converts. Gardner converting on the right hand side, Smith on the left.

TRY to Daniel Mortimer. Got a ****ing lucky bounce. Sharks now behind further. Score is now 16-10 to the Eels with a kick to come which will be converted by Burt. Indeed it is converted by Burt.

You can't beat luck. Which is pretty much what that bounce was. Really annoying considering we're clearly the better team.

    HALF TIME

    Parramatta Eels 18

    Tries
    Tom Humble
    Jeff Robson
    Daniel Mortimer

    Conversions
    Luke Burt 3/3

    Lead

    Cronulla Sharks 10

    Tries
    Anthony Tupou
    Dean Collis

    Conversions
    Tim Smith 0/1
    Nathan Gardner 1/1

Sharks have been the better side regardless of the score. Eels were lucky to get two of their tries. The first one was a great piece of work to intercept Barrett's pass and just then Daniel Mortimer's fluky chip & chase. Nathan Gardner has been good and has outshone Humble at fullback. Gardner is courageous and he is a pretty decent defender as well and has a lot of speed on him. Cuthbertson has a solid half for the Sharks and Smith has been pretty good for the Sharks. Sharks will keep attacking on the flanks and could win this if they can defend up the middle. This is where the main tries have come from.
For the Eels, Tim Mannah has been great, he has really made Cronulla work hard. Keating and Mortimer have both been pretty good. Humble hasn't been too bad considering he just come into the NRL and is playing out of position. Most of the tries have been luck so I don't have much praise for Parramatta.

Gardner is going to be such an awesome fullback.

AWTA. His first two games remind me straight away of Lachlan Coote's debut. He is only a small fellow as well. Best player for the Sharks 1st half IMO.
