Yeah, Luffers is a good player. Nino's actually a bowler, as is Gaz predominantly. If Benny and Gemmell are making the side then it's a bit of a farce. Gemmell less so but even by his own admission he's not a great anything-but-T20-player
Gemmell's apparently a good T20 cricketer..... .....which says more about the format than his ability.
Gemmell making it. He plays Last Man Stands ffs. Should pick me as keeper as I play rep indoor cricket as a wicketkeeper. It's about the same quality, deadset.
Yeah, I was just trying to make the point that picking people from social competitions when he said in here he quit club because he wasn't batting or bowling is just as stupid as picking someone from the indoor cricket scene.
Well cunts claim a spot then. I have no interest in what 98% of cunts on here do, so I couldn't tell you anything other than Nino and Gaz being guns, SM scoring a century the other day and that saffa cunt bowling at Pat Cummins pace.
Ah yeah, fair enough. And not a chance If we're taking everyone at their word we have quite a few good club cricketers here.
It's funny. Julian went to school with Benny and saw him playing 3rd grade RL and talkd him up as a good league player. Julian plays 5th XI cricket for Koala club and thinks he's Shane Warne. Try getting a start in an Auckland premier club side Julian.
Storer would go close. Cunt seems to average ridiculous numbers but no idea what standard he plays at. I can/do keep. No idea whether I'm better than Benny or not though. AlRidd10 would make this side. And Riddy himself might go close too.
Storer is a gun, although I think he's playing a lower ODI grade now. Could easily make the side with bat or ball, but I'd probably have him in the middle order playing as a genuine all rounder.
If Gemmell's making the side I'd easily play over him. ATM I'm playing in the main adelaide comp that's not grade cricket. playing 2nd grade in that out of 7 grades, I believe. Would be playing the first grade but our first grade side is just ridiculous and full of ex a-grade cricketers (i.e. Nathan Adcock, etc.). I'm not great, but I can tell you now I'd absolute rip shit up in the comp Gemmell's playing. As would most.
I love how people are bagging selection in a team that will never happen based on nothing they have ever seen. I average about 16 with the ball with 50plus wickets in 2nd grade cricket. Only average about 9 or 10 with the bat. That is in 2 day cricket, not T20.
