No true. But nice to have some variation. Would mean Logan was your 3rd seamer

  2. Incey BC Jacobs

It'll have minimal assistance to pace bowlers and maximum to spinners.

  3. Speirz DG Speirs

Doesn't mean we'd expect to use him for more than ten overs a game though.

  4. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Yeh i guessed that. :p

Just the idea of having Logan as the 3rd seamer makes me laugh.

  5. Incey BC Jacobs

Its not like he'll be bowling all day ...

I seriously think our bowling is under-rated. Shri gunned it for the Stingrays last season, but because of the Tyson, Man, King and Farnsworth quartet did not get as much recognition as he deserved.

  7. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    I'm not expecting him to.

Its just a sad enditement of your bowling attack really :p

  8. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Yeh but tbh, I think he bowled so well ebcasue he was in thatt attack.

  9. Gazza GJ Weaver

    Interesting

  10. AVA T Delonge

Not really, on spinning pitches last season we had Storer opening the bowling and Devonshire as a 3rd seamer. :p

Would not make a difference IMO. If anything, would mean he would get less wickets. Look at Gillespie. Quality bowler, yet never got the recognition he deserved because of Lee, McGrath and Warne. If Gillespie had played for Bangladesh he have bucketloads of wickets.

  12. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Yeh, but thats exactly it.

He only got 23 wickets in 19 innings. But because wickets were flowing at the other end he wasnt getting hit around and so was economical. Therefore his averaged stayed down.

  13. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

    Devonshire >>>>>>>>>>>>>> logan though.

  14. Incey BC Jacobs

Pressure built by Man, Tyson, Farny and King > The pressure that will be built by the Ravens bowlers..

  15. Eds E Ames

You could look at it either way. Surely he would have to work much harder to get his wickets if there are 4 top quality other bowlers in the team, though?

  16. Incey BC Jacobs

Could always play Nova though. Nova >> Devonshire.

  17. Zakaron SDR Laing

I've been bouncing around 28 - 32nd mark i'm hoping to finally bowl well and get into the 20's and stay there.

  18. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

Nah I think Devonshire's better than Nova... no€t much in it though.

  19. Incey BC Jacobs

42 and 45 Career FC Bowling averages. Devo > Nova.

But then you have to take into consideration current form:

    Season 8 FC Bowling averages.

    Nova - 35, Devonshire-50.

    Nova > Devo just iMO.

  20. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

No 50 is Devonshires Origin bowling record.

He averaged 37 but played 6 more games.
