The Pumas one is one I posted earlier, tbf. I agree to, you then us, then the rest... Vipers might be 3rd..
Taking into account the team battin from 1 - 11, imo: 1. Stingrays 2. Gamblers 3. Pumas 4. Vipers 5. Sticky Wickets 6. Ravens 7. Cyclones 8. Crusaders I'm going to be accused of bias, no doubt, but hear me out. We bat down to 9 whilst they bat to 7. We have consistently good batting to 7 whilst the Gamblers' really good batting ends at 5. Adding to this, we have much more depth. It's close, but I wouldn't swap our batting for theirs.
There's been 1 rd of pc games since then. It actually hurt the rays the most since Hornby and Berkuta btoh tonned up and moved up a heap of places.
We bat to 8, match their openers, they beat us on 3/4 and 5 is close, then I dominate morgan, Slogga > read and thn lover batting... So if you're playing that card you should have us second at the very least.
season 9 lineups thread for all bar two. I had to have a stab at the stickies and Ravens. I reckon that I got the batting close enough to right anyway.
Yeah my bad mate, I should have read your first post properly. I just got confused when I saw masters at 69.
Am I the only one who feels that Gamblers batting is over rated? They have a pretty gun top 4 yes. And Gemmell and Manera are class acts. but Davis had a poorer season last season and there's no guarantess he'l improve. They have their keeper batting 5, who averages >40, Morgan at 6 has played 5 BS games and hasnt been wanderful. They have a specialist bowler down at 8, so have no depth and Read's nothing special at 7. Sure they have a couple of stars, but should they get out early they're ****ed.
I think the Vipers are being underrated, we have only one batsman who is outside of the top 50, and he is rising rapidly. The only bit of extra batting the Rays have that we don't is Farny, but he doesn't score anyway I'd rather have our batting than yours TBH
Openers are equal as you said. Taking it just purely on rankings from then on, they have: 1, 2, 27, 41, 89 You have: 9, 17, 31, 34, 44. I reckon that that's a big enough buffer to get past batting one place less than you. We bat two deeper and can match them. Particularly when you take into account that blocka is now ranked 21 rather than 29 after his last knock iirc.
Our worst is Lover and he is a bowling allrounder who is moving up on both ranks lately... He just dominated for Qld recently scored 63* in a hurry.
