    Doubtful it'd be that much. The Storm didn't sign him on BIG money. Either way, it's highly unlikely they'd be in the top 25 players anyway.

    The Storm should just rort the cap again next season. They're probably gonna fold in 2-3 years anyway, the premierships can't be taken off them again, no-one'll suspect it and they'll get to go out with a bang.

    Time to announe the signing of Thurston & Hannant, IMO.

    I know there definitely is a second-tier cap, the Knights got done for breaching it a few years ago. Dunno about SG-Ball or whatever though.

    Yeah, all these reserve grade players got match payments and upgrades for playing first grade. It was really one of the reasons Brian Smith had to cut so many players, for the most part they were all being overpaid and used to it.

    Generally the match payments go onto the cap for the next season, essentially reducing what the club has to spend. The Knights were already close enough to over the cap for the next season that these payments would have put them over either way.

    Toyota Cup do have a salary cap. It's 250K. Although that was at the start of it's existence. It may have gone up since then but either way it is around that figure.
