    I wonder if Penrith have ever in their history put out a side with so few players to come from the clubs development system.

    I think they'll be in and around the top 8 throughout the season but I couldn't say with any conviction that they would make the 8.

    Whare was a Toyota Cup star with the Dragons; surprised you don't remember.

    Nigel Plum was playing NSW Cup for Wests before the Roosters picked him up too; not sure of his history before that.

    The way Magic put it - "come from the club's development system" is a big different to how I'd look at it in terms of junior clubs. Kite is most certainly a Canberra junior but I think the Dragons had already poached him at Flegg level so you'd be hard pressed to say the Raiders club actually developed the guy.
