The more minutes he plays the better the Cowboys go.

LoL wut? How many front rowers do you want playing 80mins?? You're lucky you have one.

If we were brutally honest Watts is probably only one great performance away from becoming the 8th Immortal.

    Williams >>> Bani

Yeah hopefully he'll be able to play 100 minutes next week.

Tbf the more 80 min players a team have the better. Of course they all aren't going to get 80 mins each week but it is very handy that they can if they have to, one of the reasons thaiday is so gun now

I can't see any correlation between having more 80 minute players and having more success.

There is no more evidence for that theoretical assumption, than there is for me saying 40 minutes of quality is better than 80 minutes of mediocrity.

Actually I agree after the shit I saw from Bani under the high ball lol.

Watts had ample opportunities to be counted and push Payne for the number 9 jersey while he was injured.

Instead he was mediocre and waited until Payne came back to actually do something

Paynes form the other night shows he should remain in the starting side.
Payne, Bowen and Thurston all have formed a good combination anyway.
Problem with Watts is he plays for himself too much, most of those chip kicks or shit he does most of the team isnt even expecting.

Yeah because the Cowboys were going great guns with Payne in the first five rounds, right?

Watts gets his first chance at 9 this year in a team with no Thurston or O'Donnell and Ray Thompson and Ashley Graham in the halves ffs. He still made more metres than Payne's average, and tackled well. They were down 30-6 at HT. Wtf was he supposed to do in a team playing that poorly?

Parra game. If Watts's pass isn't deflected or Thurston picks it up and scores the Cowboys go to a 16 or 18 point lead and win. He still made 80m from 7 runs (twice as many as Webb the starting prop) and put on 30 tackles (5 one-on-one's, 7 ineffective, 2 misses).

Two games in crappy team performances. He held his own. But of course that means nothing if you don't win as Payne and the Cowboys did against a shit Roosters team.

I don't care though. I hope he does stay on the bench as he's more valuable as an interchange than Payne would be. 7 runs for 94m, 2 line breaks, 1 bizarre try assist, 1 try, 16 tackles 0 misses 3 one-on-one's.

Cowboys winning without Thurston at anytime is a rarity, Payne had a lot to do with that, Watts played well, broke the line a few times and scored a try himself.
His kicking game is sure as hell better then Rovelli and even Thurston. The return of Bowen helps them a lot, he takes a lot of pressure off Watts, Payne and Thurston. Should all form a good combination.

Just get the ball to Michael Bani and you are dead certain to score a try :ninja:

  17. Paddy P Orr

Kick to Bani you are likely to score one too.

  18. Hughesy JM Hughes

I think Bani needs to catch the ball before he can score with the ball ;)

  19. Paddy P Orr

    Lol I obviously meant opposition.
Bani wouldnt score off kicks, he is lucky to catch them on his own line.

4 quality impact props each playing 40 minutes is better than 2 shitty workhorses playing 80.
