It seems as if we can't go a season without at least one new team. It's actually kinda annoying with recruitment. Honestly, I reckon one big way of stopping foldings occuring is having a sub-forum for just the 8 presidents to discuss matters in. that way we can know if a team is struggling and back away from their players, as I think that all presidents would agree that foregoing signing one player from a straggler is worth it just so that a new team doesn't come in an rape them.
I actually reckon it's good to have presidents trying to take other players away from their teams, just adds to the banter on this forum and makes it more enjoyable
Yeah. Might give all club board members access to it; it'll make positions like Media Manager a little more meaningful. It'd give me somewhere to post potential ideas for CricSim as well. I tend to avoid posting them on the forum as those threads tend to just end up in confusion with so many people posting, but with just a few people from each club giving their thoughts it really could work.
Yeah, I agree, but there's a difference between the player transfers that alter the on-field strength of clubs and the player transfers that threaten clubs survival. I definitely think there is a lack of continuity in CricSim from season to season and I'm looking at ways to make teams more stable. Multiple season contracts is definitely something that'll be added in from Season 10 onwards, although people who sign them will still need to declare their activity.
I just don't like the crew that go from club to club leaving them in the shit after it. It seems to me that Danno, Jemmell, Tyson all end up with each other whenever one moves in the next season or two and another club gets decimated. Hopefully now that ends and they don't continue to move. I don't see anything wrong with one season contracts. If that crew just doesn't move every season we'd be fine.
D Davis He doesn't post heaps anymore, but he's a gun batsman. Definitely a rocks or diamonds type player though.
AW Prince and Ged, basically. I know I've veered away from certain teams who I know had been struggling. Except the 'Saders this season, 'cause it seemed they were boned anyway.
It's the gun players that don't post much and don't give a shit that actually ruins it. Blokes like Danno and Guest can basically just change the fortunes of two teams on a whim and then **** off for another two months.
haha. Yep. I did exactly the same. Tried to help them and stay away for a while and then realised that they were dotted and went after them.
