It would be impossible to do for S9 though, virtually everyone has signed contracts.

Bringing the Allstars wouldn't be the best idea unless Rusty, BTF, Olsen and other became active again.

The player pool may be big enough for 9 BS sides but the ALC would take a major hit. I felt last season the ALC was good because there was better players playing it. I know a lot of people may view a negative impact on ALC as nothing if it makes BS better. However ALC is needed and I feel it is better to have all the clubs with their own ALC sides rather than spliting them.

Even the alc's becoming crowded though. It used to be that you started the season with a squad of 16 and got a few players that didn't sign alighen to the club and then signed rookies as they joined. Taking the rays for example, if the few blokes remaining sign as expected, we'll have a squad of 21 going into the first game, and could well sort that by the start of the season. Now, we're in the position where we can't sign any rookies, basically. If this is going to occur, I think that at the very least all rookies should play a seperate comp to alc. Something along the lines of a devlopment league. It's either that or bring in another team.

Yeah you could fill 9 teams but there would be a lot of inactive members in ALC, which would effect ALC too. For there to be a need for a development league there would need to be more people coming into the site than we currently have.

While there might be enough for a new team, you still need people to join this new team.

The main problem with a new team is that I don't think the QUALITY of the new pool is big enough. IMO, a small comp without shit players > a large comp with heaps of shit players.

There can be two ways out of this, IMO:

    1. Promotion & relegation. That way, all the good teams/players can play in the premier comp, whereas all the shit and developing players can play in the lower one.
    2. Ged's idea of development league.

I'd be in favor of both, but meh to which one.

*thinks of getting more members here*

I really dont think you could run a development league and ALC.

10 teams, two drivisions. Promotion/Relegation would be gun.

    Stingrays
    Vipers
    Ravens
    Pumas
    Stickies
    Saders
    Gamblers
    Cyclones
    Lions
    Allstars/New team.

Would mean someone would have a bye.

You could make season 9 a sort of seeding season with top 5 going in the top div and bottom 5 going into the bottom div obv.

Promotion/Relegation wouldn't work because everyone would jump ship from the spooners and they'd be ****ed.

  18. Gazza GJ Weaver

That's when you bring in multiple season contracts with clauses and stuff like released if relegated etc.

  19. AVA T Delonge

People being released if relegated still means the team gets ****ed over. :p

Oh well, would be mean if stuff like that happened though.
