International Cricket Captain: Cricsim vs the World

Definitely an innings of two halves.
Dong was shit in both.

 

10 overs: CricSim 59/3

Defending 300+, Tim Southee got stuck in to the CricSim top order and had the early wickets of both openers. Deciding to do or die, Tom Delonge and Oscar Wood attacked, but a rush of blood saw Delonge prod the ball to mid wicket and call for insane single, running out the number four bat.

 

20 overs: CricSim 107/4

Things went from bad to worse for CricSim as Trent Boult bowled Bobby Hawke through the gate, reducing the underdogs to 70/4. Delonge was still there, and as Williamson gambled by bowling almost all his opening bowlers overs early, found an able partner in Chewie to get the scoring back on track.

 

30 overs: CricSim 161/7

Tom Delonge made his second half century in a row, but lost his wicket lbw to Santner shortly after. Morgan hit his first ball off the spinner through midwicket for four, and Jono Chewie hit a huge six off de Grandhomme to raise the fans' spirits, but the medium pacer hit back to claim Chewie's wicket in his next over. Morgan attempted to shepherd the tail, but Alger was out for a frustrated 5 off 9 balls as New Zealand closed in.

 

Chewie started his spell really economically, and they were hitting the spinners to pieces by the time Morgan had a go as a part-time medium pacer, to try and thieve some overs. His was the 40th over.

 

33 overs: CricSim 183 all out

New Zealand won by 129 runs

When Morgan was caught at slip for Anderson's first wicket, the game was up. Supple Dong managed to entertain the crowd with a couple of swings to the fence off the returning Southee, but nothing more.
