27 overs: Australia 122 all out

Wade and Cummins were able to at least get Australia to three figures, but when James came back on for his second spell Cummins opted to belt him to the deep fielder - Dong and James combining again for the catch - and then Starc claimed a golden duck with the game all but over. Zampa evaded the hat trick ball, and Wade was able to make fifty before a lovely delivery from Alger turned into his off stump. James finished things off with his fourth wicket to complete a huge win.

    CricSim won by 147 runs.

This is a pleasantly unexpected turn.

Opening bowlers doing the job means I actually take wickets for once rather than being peak clamps.

    I ain't complaining at 4-25

Dong & James certainly seeming like the next best thing if we can't have Jambridge

Tbf to me, saw off most of the dangerous new ball overs on an absolute MINEFIELD

New Zealand won the toss and opted to... bat

    10 overs: New Zaland 42/0

Guptill and Latham looked to attack the CricSim bowlers early, and Dong's second (eight ball) over went for 12. James and Dyer were steadier, but New Zealand had made a solid start.

    20 overs: New Zealand 84/1

The economical Dyer got the breakthrough as Guptill backed away and hit him straight up in the air. The Cricsim attack were able to hold Latham very effectively, the opener struggling at 35* off 70, but Williamson's arrival at the crease meant a series of blows to the boundary off Alger.

    30 overs: New Zealand 140/4

After being hit for 20 in his opening three overs, Dong returned to the attack and removed Williamson thanks to a screamer of a catch from Chewie, diving one-handed to his right. The over still conceded 10. Latham reached a laboured half century, but Chewie ended his innings with a nice caught behind. The following over the allrounder had another, Taylor edging to slip, and New Zealand were in trouble.

    Chewie likes this.

    40 overs: New Zealand 222/4

The spin duo of Alger and Chewie had been throttling the Kiwi batsmen, but a powerful partnership from Cory Anderson and Neil Broom provided the riposte as both players looked to punish the spinners. Searching for a bit more seam on an off day for Dong, Morgan got a bowl, and was immediately hit for a painful 20 runs in the over.

    50 overs: New Zealand 312/6

Dyer once again returned and picked up the much need wicket, but that only served to bring Luke Ronchi to the crease, who joined Broom in carting the CricSim attack. His cameo was ended by a sharp yorker in the penultimate over from Andrew James, before Santner roused the crowd himself with a brace of boundaries off Dong to finish. 313 to win.
