Just wondering out of all those who are HoRs or have been HoRs, who enjoys/enjoyed it? Also for everyone else, do you think you'd enjoy being a HoR given the chance at a club?
Yeah. I enjoy it. This season's recruitment window's dragged on way too long though. Too many twists and turns with teams in and teams out.
I've done a lot of recruitment in my time, but I've never actually been HoR. Still though, I don't really enjoy it much at all. I don't mind scouting out the odd player I personally think would be good for the club and letting them know why, but keeping track of everything and sorting it out myself isn't something I'm at all interested in. It takes a special breed.
I wasn't technically HoR but I did a lot of recruiting for the Vipers, so I classified myself as one in the poll.
I've run a club and had to recruit on another forum, obviously not as tough as it is here, but I ****ing hated the HoR job. I think it would be horrible, although rewarding when pulling a huge signing.
The worst thing is when you plan around something and then you're all happy with everything and then a team folds and another comes in or something happens and your plans just go to shit. There's also the worry that ****s won't follow through with promises.
Actually, I think I was technically HoR for the Ravens before their first season. I recruited pretty much the whole team too, then GYR obv took over. GYR's much better at it though, he was my most important signing for that reason.
Yeah. I don't mind if they're straight with me but when you reject someone else thinking that you're getting a certain player and then they back out, rage ensues.
Yeah, was worse when contracts were open, because then finding a replacement was a pain in the arse as well, because heaps of people rush to sign contracts, and you are ****ed over.
haha. I would have gone to the Lions if the Rays didn't get in. Add to that that Blocka would have stayed and I reckon they'd probably still be around for next season.
