    The class system in France is weird though. In the UK its very much earnings and history based, but the French value your level of education higher than anything. The fact the rich cities have the better clubs might be because they can get bums on seats though

    Good point about the class system. African guys who play football definitely at the bottom though by either measure.

    And that doesn't explain why they get bums on seats in football clubs rather than rugby clubs. (I think the pendulum is swinging back towards football a little with Qatar money flowing into PSG though)

    Cleremont and Toulon seem more like scratch World XVs than French sides.
