I honestly think it's a pretty good idea. They wouldn't be as immediately competitive as some of the other bids, I imagine, but judging by the response in the Gamblers CricSim forum this team would actually bring more active players to Seasonal Rugby, which is a big selling point. A few people have indicated they'd follow this a lot more closely if there was a Gamblers team which would be better for the competition as a whole than just bringing in the best new squad possible.
If that's the case, it would solve the issue of the new team potentially killing at least one of the other teams.
Agree 100% with cribb there. Also the gamblers could sign up some non registered members on there side.

Yeah, I've ignored a sim completely for 3 seasons but I'm totally gonna get heaps active because I'm going into a subbie with a bunch of people I'm already in a subbie with. Great logic there.
