Do we want the Rossleigh Trophy to run this season?

    Yes, but maybe have separate provincial selectors for the OD stuff? Well, it's an option anyway as the line-ups could be quite different from the FC ones, potentially.

    Even if you have a truncated RT this season, I think it'd be worth it.

    Crowley is one of the leading wickets in the Horrigan Cup this season - if there was a game right now I'd see no reason not to pick him. He could open + bowl at the death with Flack. The middle 30 overs would be all spin though. :p

    For those who said we need more games to actually select the teams by (and I agree btw), what do you think of the idea of staring the competition in Week 12? All the HC teams would've played either 10 or 11 games by then, and we'd still have every province playing each other once, then a final.

    Alternatively, what do you think of running this as an offseason comp?

    I don't like the idea of it being an Offseason comp, as that should be the time that you're allowed to focus on improvements etc. rather than simming. The idea of running the Trophy over the 2nd half of the Provincial Season seems pretty reasonable though.

    Yeah, I'm not too keen on it being an offseason comp either really. It certainly wouldn't stay as one for longer than one season.

    I really, really hope this offseason is trouble-free. Every season I have big plans for improving CricSim over the offseason and they all end up being done half-arsed or not at all because I spend the whole time fixing some major issue and then rush into the season. I want to bring in the live system and do something about automating the Rib Runner MVP, for a start. I also want the offseason to be short so we don't lose half our members again.

    Would be good. I may try and time S5 of Seasonal Rugby to start once S12 of Cricsim ends. I'm sure Cricsim S13 could start before SR S5 ends, but I do think the timing of both SR S4 and Cricsim S11 starting at almost exactly the same time was a little unfortunate.

    If Rep cricket still carried the meaning that it used to I would say definitely not to do it this season, but really it is only just above top club level now. So probably running it from week 12 would be fine, as people would still have to earn their spots through performance over the first 11 weeks.

    Would you consider running a North vs South OD series? Whether this season or in the future?

    Second half of the PC comp would work well enough. Better than nothing, and the whole form or class thing is a little clearer for each player. :p

    Well the delay in Seasonal Rugby was, in many ways, for exactly same reason as the delay in CricSim this season, so that wasn't exactly a coincidence. :p

    It would be good though if all the other sims (particularly SR given its growing strength and popularity) could try and make sure they're running during the CricSim offseason. It's not just good for the site but good for those individual sims as well; more attention is bound to be paid to them if there's no CricSim at the time - this applies more to things like BasketballSim and TennisSim than SR though which has become part of the backdrop already.
