Even though they fell away late Parra didn't deserve to lose by more than two converted tries.

Fucking Easts though, why the fuck do they have to be so good.

Parra v Canberra next week. Really wanna see how the Eels follow this up.

Because they are dishonest people with no integrity who rort the salary cap.

Grant continues to kill it btw. He's been one of the best players in the comp since the resumption imo.

  6. Magic AJ Parker

Can you give me a cap run down of the current squad.

  7. Magic AJ Parker

Good to see hookers in general killing it across the game. Definitely more favourable playing conditions.

They have the right balance of white to islander ratio, and they consistently ensure the islanders they have are the nice, quiet and humble islanders. The immature ones usually get moved on.

Jmoz with 3 linebreaks & a brilliant try assist.

After bagging him so much throughout his career for being a bog average centre it's almost like he's inherited some of Latrell's DNA from that number 3 jersey. Looked unstoppable at times last night.

Are you comfortable with me pulling numbers out of my wazoo? I am happy to do this later today but the post will take me a long time to put together, and therefore won't want it dismissed at the end for being "only hurricane's guesses". As all of you experts know only about 1 in three players have their salary published / known / available on the Internet. The post will take me about an hour and involve both google searches plus also wild guesses from me if google doesn't know. Will only do so if you would see value in such a post with guess work.

Apologies to any easts fans for the tone of my post...there are a lot of fans who are skeptical/and frustrated with how Easts can afford their star studded line up. Ryan Hall outside of 17 must be on a good wicket too.

Parra surprised me. They’re going to need to learn to play well for longer than 20 minute spurts though tbh.

  12. Magic AJ Parker

No don't trouble yourself. That post was enough to prove my point.

  13. Cribbage RG Cribb

I actually think a lot of it was just how bad Blake was in defence tbh. He was disgusting. Morris took advantage better than I really thought he really had it in him to though.

Sadly that makes a little more sense. There have been a lot of stories about Moses's influence over clubs and packaging his players/coaches. Particularly around the Broncos and Tigers.

I know Nick Politis refuses to negotiate with him. Cost us Mitchell Moses's signature and made the Tedesco negotiations much harder than they needed to be from all reports. Tedesco ended up splitting with Moses after signing for the Roosters.

Sad that player agents can play such a big role in the game.

Another really good sign that Peter V just doesn't fuck around.

    AVA and Cribbage like this.

The number of people that slimy cunt was managing is ridiculous. Shouldnt be allowed to happen. Massive conflict of interest.

  16. Hurricane JD Hurricane

    Agreed
And people is the correct word to use as he managed both coaches and players.
This led to situations where he negotiated player deals with coaches he managed. Ie the coach might feel indirectly they should give that player a good deal.
Kearney was a Moses coach and a couple of our acquisitions where we paid overs were for players in Moses’ stable.

I thought the Josh Morris's strip on Matterson last night was a really interesting moment and just shows the stripping rule around try scoring situations up for exactly what it is - a crap rule.

Is any player who goes for the line deemed to be in a "try scoring situation".. does that make any player within a couple of metres or held up over the line fair game?

lol'd at Mitch Moses telling the ref Morris should be sin binned because Matterson was about to score - unwittingly telling Cummins he disagreed with the penalty awarded to them.

I never really understood the thought process behind the introduction of the rule and it's application seems to be equally as confusing.

Personally if it's a penalty on the other 98 metres of the field it should still be a penalty on the last 2 metres.

  18. Julian BJ Taylor

    How is that a penalty?

  19. AVA T Delonge

Yeah it was such a weird situation. Technically Moses was right in that Matterson was likely to score if the strip hadn't occured, but Cummins/video ref was right in that when the stripped occured it wasn't a try scoring opportunity. IIRC they stated that they had to be over the goal line for it to be legal which I think makes it less of a grey area (no 2+ strips anywhere outside the in-goal area).

Non-Hit on Parker? Yeah thats bullshit.
