    So because Hunt hasn't been moved position, it makes him worse? Boyd has been moved to the position where he can do the least damage to the team. And your argument is that Hunt is worse because he is on 200k more? You've lost the plot.

    Yeah the 200k thing still gets me. Give me a centre and halfback of equal ability and I'd much rather pay the halfback 1 mil vs. the centre 800k. It's a 25% premium for arguably the most important position (probably 2nd to hooker) on the field vs. the least important.

    Er thats not remotely what I said. I said Boyd being moved and Hunt not (really) does not prove Boyd is worse on a cost analysis basis. That is in reference to my view that Boyd playing centre isnt really a fair comparison. EWS is saying its his own fault, and I agree but that doesnt change the fact that he is still being asked to play out of position.

    Boyd hasnt been moved there for that reason either.

    He is playing out of position because of how bad he was at his position of choice. He was then really bad at 5/8, and he is again really bad at centre, which is the least valuable position on the field. I can't think of a single player who plays anywhere from 1-7 at any club that I would pick Boyd ahead of. Hunt is still in the top 10 halfbacks in the game. You are so very wrong on this. Hunt isn't even the worst valued player in his team. Norman and Graham are delivering less value than Hunt.

    Going from this weeks lineups, Hunt is better than Croft, Clifford, Green, Moses, Reynolds, Fogarty, Jacks, Brooks, Lewis, Flanagan, Townsend and Clune. Some of these are debatable such as Moses/Reynolds, but Hunt is still one of the better 7's going around, he is just in shit form.

    Name me a worse outside back than Boyd.

    Ben Hunt and Shaun Johnson are touch footy players. They have to be in a team that throws the footy around. They can be total dunces in one team and stars in another. I wouldn't want them though, they might win you a premiership for one year but you won't have a consistent team with them, or they'll at least screw you over when it counts.

    This is an odd hill to die on M_F. You clearly have bias against Hunt for butchering Origin matches over the past few years.

    Hunt is out of form in a struggling club, but he generally can do his job. Boyd has seemingly lost the ability to play. He is like the coach's underdeveloped kid in juniors, he get's a run regardless of how shit they are. I could put a jersey today and do a better job playing top grade than Boyd, I'm not even kidding.
