Speaking of kissing, I'll buy you copious strippers and hookers if you sign for the rays. Do it.

No. I went to bed and decided I didn't want to stop discussing (particularly footy) with certain members on here. I strongly disagree with Boobidy on many RL issues, but he at least puts forth a coherent case for what he thinks. As is the case with many other members whose opinions I respect.

Bullshit. The only good argumant that Brett puts forward is that of abortion.

Haha. I liked his "Why do niggers drive Cadillacs? It's the only car with a glove box big enough to fit a watermelon."

I thought Gordon was just a bit better than solid but wasn't spectacular. In saying that the other wingers that played this year were all shit so I figure him being re-selected is fair. Also if you were to go by the last few weeks, you would be mad not to re-select him.

  15. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

He was fine. He wasn't an eye sore like the rest of the NSW wingers have been. I'd be fine with his selection.

What's the bet Gasnier is reselected next year, despite already proving he is utterly incapable of defending Inglis?

NSW are in a rather unusual position. The number of players who've proven themselves is actually decreasing (partially through retirement) but also through poor performances. Cooper and Tahu, for example, really discredited themselves this year, IMO and they were two players whom I considered genuine Origin players.

And honestly, who proved themselves? How many proven players do the Blues have?

Beau Scott was terrible. Michael Jennings did the usual - nothing and miss tackles. Brett Morris was poor in defence and non-existent in attack. Joel Monoghan discredited himself and is clearly not Origin standard after his last two performances. Barrett probably won't be available next year and even if he is, I wouldn't pick him over Soward, Campese or Carney. The bloke proved himself as an Origin halfback over half a decade ago and has never played there since. Jamie Lyon should never have been picked at 5/8th and has failed to defend in the centres for most of his Origin career, certainly since coming back from the ESL. Kimmorley is retiring. Pearce is overrated and still not up to it. Being compared to Fittler due to making debut at a young age thanks to nepotism, is pretty sad. Weyman is NSW's best prop and was solid but simply doesn't have the engine to start, IMO. King was rubbish and I doubt he'll ever get better. Same goes for White and Perry. Snowden is a good young prospect but he shouldn't have been picked yet. Waterhouse is one of the most undeserving rep player I have ever seen over a long period of time. Hindmarsh is retiring and played like crap this year anyway. Luke Lewis is a genuine gun and should be there for years to come. Creagh is decent in one game, then woeful in the next. He is so up and down, it's ridiculous. Not the sort of player you can really build upon. Gallen is a hack Origin player as has been showed many times. Watmough can be excellent in attack but is a massive liability in defence. Greg Bird is capable of being a true Origin forward, no doubt about that. Using him as a ball player was laughable. Gidley has actually played quite well from the bench in recent rep matches so there is some hope. He should never have been made captain. TLL was superb compared to the other props and good overall. Excellent bench option. Luke O'Donnell is an overrated hack at all levels.

And it ain't getting any easier when you have selectors who pick players like Perry over Poore and Douglas.

Gasnier may not be defend Inglis properly, but that's true of every other centre we've picked as well, and Inglis has also shown that he can't defend Gasnier, so I wouldn't mind it that much.

Barrett's retirement was announced a few weeks back.

Which is why I don't want Inglis defending Gasnier. It's a bigger issue for Gasnier though as the chances of our forwards getting on top is much higher, thus he'll probably be asked more questions. I'd like to see Lewis, a bigger, mobile forward defend GI. He's an excellent legs tackler which is exactly what's needed to thwart Inglis's deadly fend.
