Yeah, as i said something for Season 11 to look at. Someone would be chosen from the 3 clubs to select that side, would have to obv be a good member/ select free from bias etc etc I cant really see that squads being cut down to 15 being too much of a problem for activity levels in sub forums, The core group would still be active to post and im sure there will still be discussion with that sort of number. Hmm but do we really want to see teams dominating other teams all the time, I quite like how its close makes it pretty interesting otherwise everything comes fairly predictable. I really don't think the second division would be that far behind the top division, It would just play on the same basics as ALC does with BS? with the weighting and be just under the top grade, but a fair way above ALC wouldn't it? Wouldnt really be chartering new grounds as there is already 2 divisions its just like adding a 3rd. Hmm, That is the tough question how teams would be sorted i think there would have to be some sort of competition based thing, I think that teams shouldn't know what division they will be in until the squads are full then a competition sort of thing other wise no one would want to go to the teams in the 2nd division straight away and would then find core playing groups fighting to get up to the top. But yeah not sure on this because ultimately there will be top class players playing in the second division so it wouldnt actually be like a first and second divsion but more of a Group A and Group B sort of thing. I'm sure there would be a way of doing it.
Well, yes IMO. You need a balance. Of course it's good to know that no team is so hopeless that they'll never win, but equally there's no better feeling than pulling off a huge upset, and the competition is too close for those at the moment. I just feel that CricSim is too random sometimes because the teams are so well-balanced.
Going to say I reckon there should be some sort of avenue for rep cricket for the likes of myself/Hunt/Jacobs etc etc. Not just spin bowlers, but players from the strongest states who have been prominent and good (IMO) forum members. It really is quite annoying to see NZ and GB blokes playing heaps and heaps of rep cricket because they don't have many members while I have to wait for ****ing ages for the rep to finish and club cricket to start again. Call it selfish, but there's quite a few members in this boat IMO.
You'd have Storer and maybe HGM too. Batting including Rusty, Bedsey, Dave and yourself would be quite sexy too for you guys.
Its only really NSW with enough players to make any kind of rep 2nds though. Unless you had a stand alone series with Mittens, NSW 2nd XI and maybe NZ - but that would be hars on NZ IMO.
City/Country etc etc. I don't have a solution I have just viewed it as a problem for quite some time. Because the likes of some players; Wilson, Bullpitt, Speirz etc etc are ridiculously consistent.
