Fucking Tedesco. How many times are we gonna pick blokes before they play origin and then they just vanish from the scene. And who plays on the right wing out of Boyd and Semi?
Tui Lolohea Jordan Rapana Dean Whare Peta Hiku Curtis Rona/Jason Nightingale Shaun Johnson Kieran Foran Jesse Bromwich Isaac Luke Adam Blair Simon Mannering Tohu Harris Jason Taumololo Ben Matulino Martin Taupau Isaac Liu Lewis Brown 18th man: Alex Glenn * Presuming that JWH and SST are unfit.
I tell you what. Cronk would only be there because he's an incumbent. He's been fucking terrible this year. Milford and Morgan have easily trumped him IMO.
Not at all. Boyd has played origin for years and is a proven origin performer. He said he won't pick them. Agreed. But he has enough runs on the board to get another crack at rep footy. I really don't want Radradra in the team. The cunt should be playing for Fiji, he barely speaks English.
And has played grand finals at fullback. What big games has Tedesco played in? This is an Australian team selection. Purple patches should mean fuck all, you should have to earn your side through atleast a full season of great performances and a a strong origin series. Oates is in the same boat as Tedesco, deserves to be there on club form but hasn't proven himself for long enough, or at origin.
But you can't discount it either. He has performed in a high pressure game. Tedesco has played NRL and City/Country as far as I know, unless he played for Italy or something. Boyd is one of the form fullbacks in the comp, and he has plenty of origin and international experience. Tedesco is one of, if not the form fullback in the comp, with no other experience or big game exposure.
Don't disagree. But Tedesco is pretty obviously a better fullback than Darius Boyd. You have to be picked for your first big game at some point. If Tedesco were to be picked Boyd and Inglis would be there on the left edge anyway.
Origin 1 should be the first big game for Tedesco. If he has a good origin series, send him on tour at the end of the year.
