Motivation. Our pride was severely damaged in the last game. Particularly being 14-0 down at HT. NSW haven't had to play from behind since 2011. I'll be interested to see how they go when that changes.
I'm sure you felt that in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. Of course 2010 isn't there because well, you didn't taste success that year did you?
“I’m feeling confident. I’m 100 per cent that we will do the job, no matter what,” Fifita told NRL.com after being named to play his second State of Origin next Wednesday night at Suncorp Stadium. “Who is and isn’t there... it doesn’t really matter. I know everyone will turn up for each other. That’s how we are and how tight we are.”
I love it when QLD is being underrated by our foe. Cunts in for a surprise. You know what we're capable of.
Haha that makes such little sense. If we brought in a whole different set of players then they wouldn't be tight anymore, would they? Never been the sharpest tool in the shed, Fifita. Can run the footy though.
Listen to him for 7 seconds and you realise in a battle of wits, he'd be bested by a lamppost. Fifita that is. Although same probably goes for Mal
We lost by a try and a penalty goal despite half the team playing like they'd been castrated. This series is far from over. We'll win on Wednesday night. Then we get our second bite at the cherry down in Sydney.
Not to mention they didn't score a point in the second half. One of the few positives I could take out of that game.
Except that we didn't score one in the first. We didn't score until the 60th minute. That certainly won't happen again. It may not seem like much but I'd mention it again. NSW have scored first in the last 4 games. We get an early try and lead at half time, they aren't running us down. It's in the 15 minutes before half time; we won't win the match in that period, but we can lose it.
