Already an article about him, if he has a good series he will go on the Kangaroo tour Also, if NSW win, that NSW should have 11-12 people in the side, with the only QLDers remaining in the team should be Slater, Inglis, Smith, Cronk, Scott and maybe Thaiday
Fully expecting the aussie fringes to consist of McQueen, Pearce and Lawrence if NSW get up. The world cup is all but ours.
1. Billy Slater 2. Brett Morris 3. Greg Inglis 4. Josh Morris 5. Nathan Merritt 6. Johnathan Thurston 7. Cooper Cronk 8. Matt Scott 9. Cameron Smith 10. Paul Gallen 11. Ryan Hoffman 12. Sam Thaiday 13. Greg Bird 14. Luke Lewis 15. Chris McQueen 16. Anthony Watmough 17. Trent Merrin I would be so happy to see that. Hopefully Thurston plays shit again and that combined with the Cowboys missing the playoffs would almost guarantee a Maloney/Cronk combination
IMO Pearce will be there if Roosters go deep into the finals, in what capacity I am unsure. Also Farah will be on Sheens bench all day every day.
It's not like Melbourne wont make the finals though? So I really don't see that happening even with NSW cleansweeping the series.
FMD, just remembered where your allegiance lies. Was looking at that going "WTF??? Jazz's gone mad!!!!"
Yeah I'm not saying he'll will get the nod over Thurston or Gronk, but he will probably get the token role of bench utility/halves role against PNG/Italy/Tonga or some such, they usually chuck whatever flavour of the month in there.
Nah if Pearce won a spot it'd be over Cronk based on the argument that the Cronk/Thurston combo just hasn't been successful since Lockyer retired, NSW would have to win 3-0 & Roosters would have to go deep into the finals series.
If Thurston gets dropped for Maloney then they'll have a worse halves combination than Italy as well.
Gower and Campese in the halves I assume. Tedesco and Minichiello competing for fullback, although it really shouldn't be a competition.
He's hogtied the referees with this ridiculous stance. It should've just been Anderson coming out and saying what everyone knew; Gallen should've been binned, Klein will be dropped because of it, and next time we'll get it right. It's such a reactionary position to say any punching is an automatic sin binning - What if you're just defending yourself?
You're going to get specialised stinkers. A real shit bloke you send out to start a fight with Billy Slater, so they both get binned.
Surely you'd pick a fight with someone who was actually a good Origin player rather than Slater though?
