Oh yeah, Fallout does it pretty well. Exploring the various locations and finding the back story behind them is what makes the open world experience so great. Learning about the different vaults was the best part for me.
Agree with this. I've never played any of the earlier Elder Scrolls games, but in terms of open world Skyrim is far and away the best I've played.
Fuck there was heaps of them guarding the area though . I went up on that hill in the middle and got the sniper rifle out. Then the last bunch were all bunched so rushed down and just got the flame thrower out haha.
Still on the new Tomb Raider. It improved plenty over their last 3 games. Love the story, exploring and upgrades I can do.
did that mission the other day too, killed pretty much all the dudes with my ak, but then the guy with the lmg came out so i left enough gas in the flamethrower and burnt him. also i've noticed how when you shoot trees they sway and whatever, it would be so cool if you could like hit them with a car and they fell over?
That big dude was so hard to kill. I just chased him around and snuck in a few shots then ran away again It was awesome when you started burning the fields which actually effected your ability to see straight
Started far cry 3 yesterday because prototype was a piece of shit. I'm up to where you blow up the weapons supply in the lumber camp. I am loving it. Favourite game since batman Arkham asylum.
Very keen, as I like the post-apocalyptic subject matter. Sadly, I don't have a PS3 and it looks like a PS3 exclusive.
Ok kents. Need your help. A few decent games I can get cheap but not sure what one to get (or if I shouldn't at all) The choices: Far Cry 3 Tomb Raider Hitman Absolution Max Payne 3 Sleeping Dogs
All those games potentially fit my criteria. Maybe a bit less keen on Sleeping Dogs, played the demo ages ago (love open world and all that but fighting was too button mashy for me)
Yeah it's such a shame that it's a PS3 exclusive which means I won't have a chance of convincing anyone I know to get it. Looks like a really good game and combine that with the amount of accolades it has got already plus that I'm planning it as my last hurrah on the PS3...so unbelievably keen. Also apparently it has multiplayer which intrigues me greatly.
Add me Rego58 That's also another thing for me, even though I won't get the PS4 on release (like I did with the PS3) I don't want to stock up on more games for the PS3 which will be worthless once I do get the PS4 (since it's not backwards compatible)
